A spectacular drive will take you to this small family owned b&b with a small outdoor restaurant in the yard. The set menu is homemade all the way and consists of fabulous local dishes. Great service (english speaking) and the whole evening was unforgettable. Reservation is required.

This place is wonderful and completely unique. The setting is spectacular, who would have guessed that at the end of that narrow and twisting road with all the views and comforts you could wish for?! But what makes it extra special are the people, this someone else's dream too and the owners' touch is everywhere, from the food (excellent) beautiful rooms but even more so the whole atmosphere of the place. Recommend it highly!

I was recommened to stay in Luna by a family member who had already experienced it. Not the easiest location to get to but it's worth every km! Quiet and beautiful and Ilaria will make you feel at home :-)
The highlight of the stay was a cooking class and dinner with other guests.
Would love to be back.

I don't really want to write this review as I would like to keep this place secret.
It is pure heaven if you want to get away from the hordes - a beautiful, rambling, ancient country/farm house in the tiny hamlet of Quarazanna - about 12 winding Km from nearby Fivizzano. It is immersed in beautiful countryside with stunning views of the Alpi Apuane and perfectly situated for exploring the hills, the mountains, the coast (stunning Portovenere and CInqueterre are an hour away) and the towns of northern Tuscany. The secret here is that it doesn't feel like a hotel or B and B. There is no branding, no signs almost. Each room is different and un-numbered: ours opened onto a sunny courtyard opposite the main house and was beautiful decorated in a combination of naked stone and sensitive restoration, with beautiful furniture and antique touches. Each is different.
The place is run by Ilaria and Leonardo - who essentially make you welcome in their home. There is a wonderful local breakfast served and cooked by the ever patient and smiling Ilaria, with coffee made in the true Italian style - in coffee makers on the stove - and local breads, home made jams, eggs, fruit, yoghurt cheese and fresh cakes every morning. On occasion, you can book a meal cooked by Leonardo - really worthwhile: exquisite tastes of tuscan specialities served with great charm and warmth. Ilaria is full of recommendations for walks, hikes, places to visit. We swan in waterfalls, ate in hidden hamlets hanging over mountain lakes, hiked high in the Appenines and slept and ate like kings! I would return and return and return
