If you have plans to have trip for Navajio and Blue Caves you should start from Makrialos beach. You can buy tickets at desk jn the beac and it will cheaper, if you will do this at tourist offices. If your are not short on time you can swim hear and after have time for coffe and lunch at nearest taverna/On this way also Xygia beach(Sulfur) and Askos park.

No words for this little corner of paradise, mandatory to go before 9am and to stay until 11am. Water is crystal, a lot of fish will swim with you (don t expect something similar to red sea, but it's nice). When we've visited it, there were sunbeds at the beginning of the beach (maybe 20 or 40 sunbeds) and the rest of the beach is free. Put the mask and go near the border (left or right) you'll find fishes. Enjoy this little paradise and go away after 11am when people arrive.

Great location, affordable accommodatio all around, not hustle and bustle or gimmicky and not overly touristy. It is a destination for the tourist who wants do their own thing and doesn't mind settling into a holiday routine of some time by the beach and then casual time exploring Zakynthos from the eastern side of the island. All landmarks are 20-30 minute accessible, and, along the way some out of the way places and finds that you didn't expect. There are great food restaurants serving very local food which is affordable, of which To Petrino 50m from the beach is a must try! Generous portions using very fresh local ingredients some of which they produce themselves, a very local family run business who really care for their guests.
We are a family of three and ventured here from Australia with our 17mth old son and found this leave is a pleasure and an ease.

Stopped here on the way to the Blue Caves and was so impressed went the following day to spend the whole day there.
Plenty of beach area to either rent beds or just put your towel down.
The water is warm and crystal clear. Lots of people snorkelling. Fish come up to you in the shallows.
A lovely relaxing day, would recommend.
