the general store here is located right in the heart of the park and is a great place to get a quick lunch. Lots of choices and many picnic tables to choose from. Even have beer to go with your lunch.

We loved the campground and Bryce Canyon, but our time there was soured by a particular ranger/campground host (short haired, middle aged woman) who seemed to have it in for our group from the moment we arrived.

Every-time (around 5 incidents in all) that this woman came past us she found something to give us a hard time about, and never said anything friendly or welcoming - which really did make our stay here unenjoyable.

The most annoying example was that she checked over our campsite and tents in detail at 5pm and made remarks/accusations that demonstrated she thought we were going to set up more than 3 tents (we had 6 people), then returned again 4hrs later at 9pm directly to our campsite (not checking anyone else) when we were about to retire (does she not have a life?) and when she found no new issues, asked that we move one of our tents that she’d already checked over earlier, citing that it was a) too close to a shrub (around 3ft away) and b) that it needed to be within 20ft of the fire pit (never heard of this apparent rule - think she made it up). Although tired and about to retire for the night, we obliged and moved the tent. She then returned direct to our camp again at 6:30am (clearly to check that we’d done as she asked) and glared at us from her car without saying hello or winding down the window while we made our morning coffees.

Excellently located near the sunrise and sunset points, and beautiful in the winter with the snow, though, the high altitude contributes to A LOT of snow you'll have to dig out if you're camping with a tent. The amenities are very clean and tidy.

Awesome campground, right next to the Rim Trail and within walking distance of the Visitor Center where you can take the shuttle or the general store where you can take showers (for a fee). Flush toilet and water are available and there's plenty of sites to choose from. First-come, first-served, we had not trouble securing a spot (we got there at 10:30 am in July). Not huge campsite but lot's of trees so it didn't feel crowded. Would definitely stay there rather than at Sunset

We found this better than Sunset because the roads were smoother and the ground was drier, less muddy. The location is better too, a lot closer to Sunrise Point, the Rim Trail, and the lodge. The spaces weren’t huge or very private but there are plenty of trees, squirrels, and birds, very pretty. We would have had to drive to the showers so used our RV but the bathrooms were close by. We came in October and there were no dump stations open in the park or in town.
