You cannot lose taking this short hike. If you have the energy to hike a bit longer do the attached Navajo loop which makes for an enjoyable and very doable hike for all ages and fitness levels.

My husband and I chose this easy rated trail - there is a sign at the beginning recommending hiking boots. You should listen to this warning! I opted for running sneakers instead because I had done so much hiking in my boots I wanted a break and thought it would be fine since the rating was "easy". The issue is that this is a fairly steep trail down with lots of loose gravel and rocks. It is very easy to lose your traction and slip - which is exactly what happened to me! Very beautiful hike and it is definitely worth it to see down inside the amphitheater and see hoodoos up close. Just wear hiking boots with good traction! It is also worth it to note that you don't have to complete this whole trail to see the beauty of Bryce Canyon. You can hike just a short distance down and see hoodoos if you don't feel you're capable of completing the entire trail.

This trail is not a loop. It takes you to Queen Victoria and you can join with other trails like the navajo or walk back. The walk up to sunrise point is trying on the heart and calves.

Views are spectacular.

Busy trail.

This excellent hike, approximately 1 mile each way, begins at Sunrise Point has an elevation drop of about 300 ft. It ends at the viewpoint of Queen's Garden that contains a rock having a questionable resemblance to Queen Victoria. The path on the way up and down has many good spots for incredible photos. Moderately strenuous, but not to be missed if you are able.

This is a nice trail with a relatively easy descent path, allowing you to enjoy the spectacular scenery at the bottom of the canyon. This is the route to see the Queen Victoria rock formation. You start the trail at Sunrise point and rather than head back up the way you came down, a good option is to combine this hike with the Navajo trail to form a superb loop taking you back up via Sunset point (although this is a steep ascent). Take plenty of water if it is a hot day.
