By "Stone Cabin", I believe they are referring to Pratt Cabin which is a 2.4 mile hike up McKittrick Canyon from the trailhead. This is a fairly easy hike with a very wide and well defined hiking trail. It is a loose gravel trail for the most part, but if you do any hiking at all, you won't have a problem. The cabin was built in the early 1930's, is very remote, but beautiful. All stone, it also has a stone roof, the like of which I've never seen before. We really enjoyed our hike to Pratt Cabin and beyond to the Grotto. Watch for wildlife and beautiful flowers along the way. Highly recommended!
