Stayed in site G198 during opening weekend. My site was a very short walk to the bathrooms and had a nice parking area. My only issue is that for those tent camping, it can be a challenge to find a completely flat area to pitch your tent. If you’re not coming on a busy weekend it may be worth it to scope out the area before selecting. Also make sure you bring a tarp or ground cloth because the sites can be a bit rocky.
I came in after hours in the rain. I checked in with registration the following morning with no hassle. The bathrooms were clean, the campground is literally right on the AT, and the camp store is awesome. There are pay showers and pay laundry facilities.
I’ll definitely come back, just look out for slanted sites when making your tent selection.
