This is great hike, which let you do some adventure by passing with narrow edge of mountain(safe as there are chains to hold) and enjoy some views and a hidden arch and end of route.once at top you can have 360 view of park. People should do it if they are not scared of heights.just a basic advice wear shoes with good grip to enjoy more,if wearing normal running/walking shoes please be careful at few spots.

Do not miss this hike!! This is like a mini version of Angel’s Landing, but I thought it was actually better and more fun than Angel’s Landing. Switchbacks to start with great views that come to some very fun chain areas – but only a drop off on one side – rock wall on the other. We did have to let some people pass while on the chains, but it is doable. Once you complete those, you will come to Hidden Canyon – kind of like an obstacle course. We saw tons of butterflies in this area – and it was peak hiking time with considerably less people than the other trails we had been on. I would highly recommend this trail to anyone. Those with a fear of heights may have a little difficulty, but just stay close to the wall and you can do it just fine. This hike should not be missed. Head down to the Weeping Wall when you are finished for a nice cool down.

This hike was recommended to us by another hiker. I am glad we listened to him. This was one of the more enjoyable hikes for us during our visit to Zion. The beginning has several switchbacks with minimal shade in the afternoon. Once the trail splits into Observation Point and Hidden Canyon trail, it flattens out some. You then start to encounter some steep drop-offs, but there is ample amount of space to walk. The chains were there just to make me feel completely comfortable about walking along the edges. It only got tricky in one spot with the chains where you couldn't see people coming from the other side of the mountain. Once you get passed the chains, you will have to do some rock scrambling. It is totally worth it. It was like nature's playground in the canyon. Nice, flat hike with beautiful scenery (and lots of butterflies). There is an arch at the end of the trail, which is great for pictures.

We decided to do this trail as our first hike in Zion and it was a great way to start. The shuttle bus dropped us off right at the start of the trail and probably the most strenuous part of the trail is the first 15-20 mins which is moderately steep but fine if you take your time. The trail then levels off (not completely!) and there are in the next part sections of trail with drop offs but with chains on the walls to assist you. As someone who is not brilliant with heights there wasn't any time on this hike where I was scared. The trail is plenty wide enough that you don't have to walk right on the edge or look over and the chains give you extra confidence! Once you get to the end of the trail there is a sign (see photos) saying you can continue but there is some scrambling required. We decided to take the plunge and it was definitely worth doing as it added to the excitement of the hike. I am 51 and moderately fit and there wasn't anything that was overly difficult - it was just a bit challenging but that is all part of the fun - right? At the end of the trail there is a lovely arch in the shade to rest at before setting off back. On the Zion website this trail is marked as strenuous with an estimated time of 2.5 hrs. We did it in 1.75 hours with a 15 min stop at the arch and I would classify it as moderate rather than strenuous.

It’s definitely a tough hike all the way up to the Hidden Canyon so be prepared. There is a secret arch up there for a great photo.
