The road through the seashore has lovely vistas of dunes and beaches. It was much longer than we expected and just stunning. We saw several Osprey nests and lots of herons.

Lovely sand, clean, just spectacular. National parks or seashores are most often prisitine-just like this one.

We brought lunch. Where we were was beautiful and very private. The beach towards Pensacola seems to have a gentler slant so the waves break slow and roll on. We chose to go more private near Navaree. There were no bathrooms or trash cans. We just treated it like when we hike and carried all in and out that we need. We found lots of shells and enjoyed a relaxing picnic and quiet day at the beach. A guy did reel in a 6 1/2 foot black tip Shark, that made for great video but after the excitement we chose to wade only in shallow water. I highly reccomend this for couples young and old. Nothing better than a day at the beach!

The seashore is not what I expected. While it was pretty, there wasn't a lot to see until you got out to Fort Pickens. I wouldn't go again unless it was to see the fort again.

We went through the park to get to Fort Pickens. It was a speed limit of 25 miles an hour for several miles. The dunes got pretty boring pretty fast, and you couldn't see the water much of the time.
