I have stayed at this hotel many, many times over the last 20 years or so and it just keeps getting better and better.

This year I traveled with my best friend and 2 kids and when we entered the lobby, we were greated with a bright smile and a great big hello. That lady checked us in, was very welcoming and informtative. She also provided very thorough information about the measures taken to protect from Covid.

This is the third GM since I began staying here. The first one I met was absolutely wonderful. She was a hands on manager and made us feel right at home. The satff even commented about how wonderful she was as an employeer. Well, she went onto greener pastures with Marriott, and great for her! However, her relacement was just awful. He never said one word to me or any other guest that I ever saw, and it was just obvious that he was not very pleasant to work for.

Its pretty bad when a guest, that has no personal connection with anyone at the hotel, can see the difference in the morale, and the negative impact he had on those around him.

Well much to my surprise that nice lady that so warmly greeted us is the new GM.
Maybe its just my imagination, but I truly believe the morale at the hotel has changed and it is as welcoming now as it once was.

The employees seemed so happy. They would greet us whether we were in the hallway, or out by the pool, even asking if they can do anything for us. Throughout our stay we would see the GM with guests in the lobby, outside by the pool, and one time we saw her in the garage by the pool supplies.

It was a breath of fresh air. This was a very welcome change from the visits over the last few years.

It appears that the new management went to great lengths to protect us. The hotel installed a barrier around the reception/check-in area, had someone wipping frequently touched areas, constantly checked the restrooms by the pool, tried to enforce the limitations they had in place, employees always had masks on, (that covered both the mouth and nose) and adhered to social distancing, the breakfast area adhered to the social distancing requirement/suggestion, and I could go on and on.

My friend and I needed assistance with a huge project. Joe and Bubba were sent to assist us. They did not gasp, make horrible faces, or moan and groan when they saw why we needed assistance. They jumped right in and got the job done. Thereafter anytime they saw us, they asked if they could do anything else for us.

When my friend and I went to the room the first time, we wiped everything down w/ our own disinfecting wipes and quite frankly were shocked when there was no sign of any debris on any of the wipes at all. We were convinced at that point that the hotel really and truly had done everything they could to protect us all from Covid-19.

The view from the room is beautiful, the kids love the bunk beds, the staff did everything we asked when it came to servicing our in-room needs, the beach is beautiful, the hotel has two showers perfectly located when coming in from the beach, the pools were always clean and the area well maintained, and most importantly, the staff was right there ready to assist with anything we needed.

I will be back.

First, I want to thank and acknowledge the incredible service by Molly C. We ended up staying 2 extra days on top of the 5 we originally reserved. She did everything she could to accommodate us and did. It is people like her that make you come back. As far as the hotel, this is the 2nd time we have stayed here and love the location, pools, whirlpool and roomy rooms. The only down side is the couch, boy do they need replacing. That would be the only negative.

Room tip: Best view - Pool/Gulf view

We booked this hotel for a Summer getaway and were not disappointed. The hotel is located on the eastern end of the string of hotels along Pensacola Beach. The property is bright, fashionable and it is obvious the staff is ensuring adherence to COVID protocols.

Check in was smooth and friendly. Our room on the southeast corner of the property gave us 270 degree view from the gulf across the island and the entire beachfront. The room was large and we were surprised to find it also had two bunk beds which were not really necessary for our party of two. That being said, the bunk beds came in handy to lay out our clothes as hangers have been removed from the room closets. The bed was comfy, the room quiet, and the bathroom especially nice.

Although daily room cleaning is suspended, the hotel staff was always quick to replace soiled towels, provide toilet paper and remove trash. Simply place it outside the door and inform the front deck. Very efficient.

Breakfast is packed "to go" from a small menu and it was just enough to keep us going. The breakfast crew always greeted us with a smile. Additionally, there are numerous dining options withing east walking distance of the hotel.

The hotel has arranged with Lazy Days to offer beach amenities like chairs, umbrellas, paddle boards and kayaks. We found the Lazy Days staff to be helpful, and friendly. As a plus, any transactions can be charged to the room.

Obviously the beach is one of the best in Florida. We enjoyed it. The hotel also has three pools, one of which is a kiddie pool. A hot tub pool is also available. We found the pools always sparkling clean as were the pool decks and there was never a shortage of pool towels available.

If there is any criticism, we found that using the free movie streaming services like HBO and Showtime the movies were constantly stopping and spooling. Difficult to watch.

All in all we enjoyed a wonderful vacation here and look forward to returning again. Special kudos to the staff for keeping things going during these difficult days.

Booked on phone w Ryan, arrived to a clean, bright hotel. #422 overlooked the 3 pools & hot tub w the beautiful ocean view. Quiet hotel. Walkable to great dinner outside at Red Fish Blue Fish for sunset on the Gulf. Staff great, corona breakfast fine w great service, though would love to have had access to unlimited coffee rather than bothering the ladies again. Would def stay again. Unexpected refreshing, relaxing, recharging stay on a road trip. Oh - they provide beach chairs and umbrellas in front of hotel!

Room tip: 422 overlooked pools & ocean, quiet & not near elevator nor ice machine.
