We stayed ten days at this charming,rustic/sophisticated property. Rooms are spacious, and an interesting mix of ancient castles walls and high tech furnishings. The view from the castle walls is beyond amazing.the whole of the Umbrian plain is laid out before you.there is quite a lot of privacy, yet a feeling of being part of a very special community.be sure to say hello to the Nona's at the gate!
Andrea and his mother Mariella could not be more accommodating or helpful (Andrea speaks some English) get him to show you the tiny town of Pissagnano.....there is a coffee shop for
Breakfast, a market for groceries and a laundry, all side by side and with the nicest people imaginable.another tiny market in Bianca, will interpret your horrible Italian and serve you with humor and grace. All of the hill towns are within easy driving distance.don't miss Norcia! More than worth the trip.
There are great walks around the castle, wine tours etc.etc.
Consider picking up wine and staples......coffee,sugar bread cheese either before or right on arrival, and be mindful that this region REALLY does shut down for siesta!
