We spent 2 nights here in April and had a wonderful weekend.

The room had the most amazing HUGE four poster bed and a lovely bathroom with a slipper bath.

The food was absolutely gorgeous and when we returned from a wedding party and needed something to eat Joe was happy to rustle up a lovely burger (possibly one of the nicest I've had!) even though the kitchen had finished serving for the night.
It's worth staying for the puddings alone!! Mmmm peanut butter ice-cream, WOW.

Thank you so much all at Monkton Court for making our weekend relaxing & indulgent.

Room Tip: Room 5 had the most amazing for poster bed

Just spent 1 night here and what a beautiful hotel full of character and charm. Great friendly relaxed service. The food was perfect, full of flavour and beautifully presented. we were lucky the weather was great so we sat in the huge garden watching rabbits and squirrels running around, BLISS. The room was charming with an amazing bathroom and roll top bath. Cant recommend this place enough. Thank you Monkton Court Hotel for a wonderful evening, my only disapointment was not having more time there to chill in their wonderful garden.

Room Tip: room number 3 had amazing views and magic bathroom

Stayed here with a colleague on business, and what a surprise! I could have chosen all the items on the menu, and I am sure that all would have given the same impression of suberbly cooked and well presented food.
Proprietors very welcoming, and comfortable rooms.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room at the rear.

Stopped at this indifferent hotel just by chance today for a lunchtime break. Was made to feel very welcome. Service was great and the food was even better. Clean fresh toilets were a bonus.Very impressed I will stop again.

What a find. Visited based on reviews and was not disappointed. Would have driven past if had not booked. Superb hosts from start to finish. Great food and service. Would have been better if more people were in the restaurant. Wake up Honiton this place is brilliant.

Pulling up outside this hotel it wasn't how I had expected it to be, it seemed a bit dated, however the room I had was delightfull, I had a four poster bed which was extremely comfortable, I could have stayed in it all day, the bathroom was nice and modern too. The meal I had in the resturant was delicous albeit a bit pricey but well worth it. If I need a hotel in this area again I would choose to stay here.

This is the second time we have stopped at The Monkton Court Hotel en route to Cornwall. It certainly doesn't disappoint. You can sit in the lounge or the restaurant, which ever takes your mood. The service is quick and attentive and the menu offers a good range of food. The bangers and mash are the best I have ever tasted. The food is extremely good quality using locally sourced food. You can tell why it's just been awarded double AA rating for the restaurant. We will probably make this a regular stop on the long journey to Cornwall!
