This was our 3rd visit snd the children still love it as much as their first. An amazing experience in a lovely setting.
We visited Boydells farm today with 3 adults and 10 children. Opens at 2pm but we arrived at 12.30 and had lunch by the stream, top tip: take wellies for the kids to jump in the stream. It was a brilliant day out for all the children, they haven't stopped talking about it since we've been home, something they have never done before about other farms. So many hands on experiences, feeding the Goats, bottle feeding the lambs, milking the cow, watching the sheep being milked, cuddling baby Goats and chicks and watching a sheep being sheared. A tractor ride, jokes and funny one liners from the farmer. My 7 year old fed animals for the first time, the relaxed, comfortable atmosphere supported him in being able to do this. Highly recommend this family run, working farm. Think we were the last to leave! Lovely little gift shop, looking forward to our hen eggs in the morning.
I am so pleased with my purchases of dairy products I bought today. The Raw sheep milk, cheese and yogurt is the tastiest I have had. It so much nicer than cows and goats.
And my dog loves it too. It is highly recommended and I've read that it is healthier than cows and goats.
Would like to purchase more in larger quantities!
After hearing lots of positive comments about this farm we took our young family with 2 small children yesterday. Initially thought they would be too young to enjoy it,at 15 and 9 months old, but they absolutely loved it. The interaction with the animals was lovely and they loved getting close to them. We have decided this place will now be a family tradition when they visit and definitely an annual event for us, -sadly they live too far away for it to be more frequent. The staff were brilliant too with their corny animal puns and interaction with the visitors. What a lovely way for children (and adults) to learn about farming. What s great find!!!
Very local to me so very ideal and must say this is the best farm i have ever been to and love visiting here as often as i can.
We had our sons 5th Birthday here yesterday and it was brilliant. Both the children and their parents enjoyed it. I would definitely recommend a visit!
