“Stuning location with spectacular views”
Reviewed October 11, 2014 for a stay in October 2014

An immaculate well furnished and equipped cottage that deserves its 5 star rating. Wonderful location overlooking Tintern Abbey. Dog friendly with excellent local walking from the cottage. Safe enclosed garden for pets/children, and off street parking for 2/3 cars.
The cottage is warm and welcoming as was the greeting from the owner. Friendly helpful service, during our stay and when making the booking.
Very good local pub/restaurant just across the road, and local farm shop well worth a visit.
Area behind the property a little seedy but no fault of the owners.

“Just right!”
Reviewed September 24, 2014 for a stay in September 2014

This was a return visit ti the cottage. The previous visit with my husband had gone really well and the cottage had been ideal for us in terms of location, facilities, comfort. and being dog friendly. This time my sister and I went with our elderly ,disabled mother. We were delighted that the cottage proved to be ideal for her and she was able to access and enjoy the garden as well as the facilities of the house. The view from the cottage overlooking the Abbey is magnificent and access to lovely walks and local pubs without the use of a car is a bonus.

“The perfect escape”
Reviewed September 1, 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Welcoming and professional , was the owner Fiona and she showed us round a beautiful cottage with amazing peaceful views. Extremely comfortable rooms and wonderfully designed, the cottage is within steps of super walks. It's so hard to find top class places when you have a family with dogs but this cottage is 10/10. Looking forward to going back for along weekend next Spring.

We really enjoyed our stay, very clean, well presented cottage in beautiful valley. Fiona and Malcolm made it easy for us by supplying baby equipment. We are happy to recommend it.

“An idyllic holiday in an idyllic location”
Reviewed May 6, 2014 for a stay in May 2014

Just returned from spending a long weekend with my family at Tintern Abbey Cottage. This was a really great holiday. The cottage was lovely, very clean, a lot of thought has gone into making this a home-from-home. Very good value for money. The location was very good - within walking distance from everything you want to see. Wonderful views from the front of the cottage - directly opposite Tintern Abbey. Very relaxing - did not use car all weekend. Lovely walks - tried the Wye Valley Walk. Old Station worth visiting. Had nice meal at The Anchor Inn down by the Abbey. Looking forward to visiting the other two properties belonging to the same owners - Vanilla Cottage and Foxes Reach Cottage. Would definitely come back to Tintern Abbey Cottage again.
