Nestled in the upper valley of the Aubonne river, this natural park is really beautiful, with a rich variety of plants (not only trees, also flowers and bushes), a lake and several nice ponds, and great walks.
There is also a wood museum, a souvenir shop and a "buvette" with coffee, cold drinks, and snacks.

Noteworthy is the link to Japan, represented by quite a number of Japanese Cherry trees, and a quite large "Japanese forest". There is a Japan festival every year and many other events, too.

Stroll next to the river in the beautiful forest, enjoy the birds singing or humming of the wild life.

The are many paths to take - the shortest is around ~4 km which was very easy, even for the kids.

All the plants have signs with names (just for general knowledge)

Great walks and beautiful trees and plants. Easy walking but if you need more exercise... then there is a possibility to make it more difficult... well documented.

This is a wonderful area of woodland, planted in zones with well marked trails, a lake and a river. There are any number of interesting habitats to see and fungi, birds, flowers and of course the trees make it a fascinating place to visit.

It is free to visit and there is a wood museum and a small cafeteria, open in the summer. There are many excellent places to picnic and entrance and parking are free, although visitors are invited to make a donation towards upkeep.

I went to the arboretum last summer. This place is amazing. The nature meet humans in a good balance. You can discover this place with your family or alone, it does not matter, you will feel there peaceful and happy. If you like to walk there are plenty of possibilities.

The arboretum is well laid out, 3000 tree and bush species from all over the world ! It's a perfect place to go for an easy walk in any season. In a few hours walk you learn about a variety of plants and trees from different origins. It's close to Aubonne but still far enough to be quiet and peaceful. There is a parking at the entrance. Very beautiful in spring with all the blossoms. The Cafe/restaurant opens in spring and is very reasonably priced!

We often go here for walkies with the dog and toddler. Paths are used enough to allow for strollers and there are numerous paths to follow. Beautiful in spring with all the blossoms. Cafe/restaurant opens in spring and is very reasonably priced!
