I had the chance to stay at the Villa Moana for 2 weeks, the only think I could say is that I was in paradise! The villa is beautiful, you really feel like home. The master room is very comfortable, you wake up with an amazing view. The bathroom is also very spacious. The whole house is decorated with taste, it is very modern and clean. The deck is a great asset, the outside shower was also very appreciated. In the evenings you can enjoy one of the most beautiful sunset view on the island. The villa is located in a small village, the neighbours are local people, I enjoyed the opportunity to interact with them and it was good to avoid the crowded tourism zone. It is highly recommended to rent a car so that it gives you the freedom to discover the island. You will find some convenience shops about 5 minutes drive away, a big supermarket is located 20 minutes drive away. You have tons of activities to experience- things you should not miss: A lunch at the Snack Mahana, A pizza at "Chez Daniel" (to take away and enjoy on the villa's deck), diving with Henry from the scubapiti diving school (Les Tipaniers), a sky dive with Tahiti Parachutisme etc... If you have the opportunity to visit Moorea and you don't want to stay in a hotel don't miss out the Villa Moana!

We stayed at Villa Moana for 9 nights in total - and it was amazing!
Beautifully layed out and such a haven. There were 6 of us in total which comprised of 4 adults and two kids (16 and 11), and our friends stayed in the Master (which is absolutely amazing) and we stayed upstairs. My son (16) stayed in the back room, and daughter (11) stayed on the couch outside the bathroom as she didn't want to sleep with her brother! There was plenty of room for everyone which was great and the kitchen was well kitted out and situated in the house. The pool table out back was great and a couple of evenings were spent out there versing each other over a few cocktails. Most of the time was spent out on the deck of Villa Moana drinking cocktails and Hinano beers whilst watching to see if we could see sharks.
The kayak was great although the current is pretty strong, and although this beach is not great for snorkelling or swimming, we were fine with this as we really only wanted somewhere to relax in the evenings as we went out every day.
There is a real necessity to arrange a car whilst staying here though as the nearest dairy (Magasin) is a 15 minute walk which is OK if it's not too hot. We soon realised this and had Alberts Car Rental deliver us a car which was great although it would have been a better idea to have picked it up when we got off the ferry. We brought out own meat with us as some essentials (cereals/rice/pasta/herbs/alcohol) and made great use of the BBQ that was there, and we also made a number of trips to the little Magasins around the island as well as to the big supermarket near the ferry.
Things place is heavenly and I wouldn't have any worries about recommending it as we had such a great stay here! No air con but we didn't end up needing it which was fine, and there were Mosquito Coils provided so none of us really got eaten at all - may have just been the season we were there.
