What a little gem.

Lovely well equipped cottage, comfortable beds, friendly helpful hosts and wonderful location.

Beautiful walks within minutes from the cottage around lakes and graveyards. History on the doorstep.

Hot tub, sauna and games room.

Thank you.

“The perfect stag weekend! A homely, rustic space with room for adventure.”
Reviewed 2 December 2015 for a stay in November 2015

I took a group of 5 guys away for my friend's stag do. Having spent days trying to find an affordable place to stay around Lough Erne I came upon Fermanagh Self-Catering. From my very first inquiries Caroline and Mark were personal and professional.

On arrival Caroline was there to show us around, and had made us a selection of breads! "The Stables" is a homely, rustic space. The wood-burning stove was a big hit.

In the other locations I was considering, I was paying through the nose before even considering additional activities. Fermanagh Self Catering is very reasonably priced, and for just a little extra Mark and Caroline lent us kayaks and life jackets to go out on Killyfole Lough - just beyond the front garden of the property.

For a small fee we also had access to one of the incredible outdoor hot tubs, complete with colour-changing lights and in-built sound system. We ended up spending several hours there each night. When we headed out for a classic stag pub-run it was quickly abandoned because everyone wanted to get back to the hot tub.

I could not recommend Fermanagh Self-Catering highly enough.

“The Perfect Holiday Retreat”
Reviewed 7 September 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Our family of 5 had a lovely stay at the Stables Cottage. We felt very much at home and could find no fault with the cottage and facilities. Caroline had given us plenty of ideas with suggested itineraries and places to visit in the surrounding area. Our children loved the freedom of the games room, tennis court, football pitch, tree house and a walk round the lake to feed the ducks became an after dinner ritual!
We all agreed that it was very easy to settle into the cottage and difficult to leave!!
We had a lovely relaxing stay in beautiful surroundings and I must mention the home-made soda bread - not only on arrival - but also on our homeward journey (and still slightly warm ) - thank you Caroline.

“Great place for family break”

We stayed in the Stables for a week with a 4 year old and a 2 year old. Caroline provided a great conscientious service from start to finish. There is great attention to detail, even regarding confirming the precise arrangements for staying and lovely homemade breads in the apartment on arrival.

We enjoyed visiting Crom, Enniskillen, a family fun day at Enniskillen Castle and Killyfole Lake is on the doorstep. There is a great games room for the kids, rabbits and chickens, a trampoline, a tree house, football nets and even a tennis court. The property is secluded enough that the kids were able to play around the site with little worry about safety (beyond the norm). The apartment was well equipped.

Caroline and her family were very friendly and helpful and there is plenty to do there for the kids if the weather is poor or you want to have a quiet day.

“Just Perfect”

We stayed for 5 nights with a family of 6 (2 adults and 4 kids) at the Coach House. This property is a lovely mix of old and new with high spec fixtures and fittings but still with a warm country house feel. The smaller kids loved hiding in wardrobes and sleeping in the huge superking beds and the teenager loved the smart tvs and wifi..something for everyone! All the rooms are really comfortable and luxurious. The kitchen is really well equipped. The grounds of the house are lovely. There is a games room (with snooker table, wii, football table, board games etc) and treehouse outside - great fun! The owner Caroline is a lovely lady and gave us a warm welcome with a roaring fire and Cake! There where also some really nice touches such as her giving us great pointers on what to do in the local area and beyond. Caroline was always on hand if needed and made our stay really comfortable. Lots to do in the surrounding area. If you are into fishing this place has loads of lakes nearby. We saw the black swans at Killyfole Lake (literally down the drive), visited the beautiful Crom Castle and went to Castle Archdale and found some deer. All in all it was a totally chilled out break which is a miracle with four kids in tow! The kids are already asking when we are going back - a really great property and will definitely return soon.
