My family (9 adults) stayed here for a week in October 2013 after other family members recommended it to us. I can't speak highly enough of this beautiful guest house. They have three suites, and we rented all of them at the same time. The suites are relatively new but built to look quaint and antique. Each is very well set up with modern conveniences and the construction appears to be very good quality. There is wifi, a TV, DVD player, dishwasher, gas range and toaster oven, all needed cooking utensils and dishes etc. in each suite. Everything in all suites was spotlessly clean.
There are charcoal bbqs (you buy our own charcoal) on the patios, and beautiful outdoor furniture for each suite too. There is a shared laundry room on the ground floor too.
You absolutely must have a vehicle to stay here. It is wonderfully quiet and the views are incredible but it is at least 10 minutes drive to a small town and longer to any large center. There are several grocery stores and pharmacies within 10-15 minutes drive. We mostly used Coop (a chain throughout Tuscany) that has a great selection of groceries (and gluten free items!!). We ate most of our breakfasts and suppers in the Rosa suite all together and there was plenty of room for the 9 of us to cook, eat and socialize. We used the wifi extensively for laptops, tablets and smart phones and didn't have any problems with it.
The property is gorgeous. You approach the house up a tiny, windy country lane through an orchard. The house sits high on the slope of a hill and so each suite has fabulous views from the front window and patio of the valley below - golf course, Italian hamlets, orchards, etc. The property itself is full of fruit and olive trees and so our breakfasts often included fruit picked by the hosts that day!
The owners (the Goti family) live in the house on the top level of the building. Various family members speak different languages, so they can communicate well in Italian and Spanish and French, plus basic communication in English and Dutch. The Gotis are wonderful hosts. They met us at the closest exit off the expressway (the location is a bit hard to find the first time, even with GPS) to lead us the last 10 minutes into the property (after that we pinned the location on GPS and didn't have trouble finding it again). They were very helpful with our questions and very friendly.
I slept in the queen sized bed in the Girasol suite and it was reasonably comfortable. It was firmer than I am used to, and if you like fluffy pillows, bring your own. But there were plenty of blankets and lots of space in the cabinet to unpack.
