This resort is set on a beautiful river that flows through the swimming pool. The grounds, rooms and buildings are amazing and comfortable, it is a very peaceful place. The staff were helpful and the food was great. 5 star

Couldn't have imagined such a wonderful place existed during our Camino Walk. So glad that we stayed here. This hotel is 5kms away from the town center of Caldas de Reis. At the center of town where the church is located, there is a playground to the left. Behind the playground, there is a taxi queue and you catch a taxi to this hotel - the fare (€5) is picked up by the hotel.

Be amazed as you are transported to a world of relaxation at this hotel which is an old cotton factory converted into a boutique resort. The whole place is nicely decorated and is so cosy. There is natural waterfall of cold spring water tumbling down into the swimming pool. Just sitting by the pool and listening to the waterfall is pure bliss. A river runs by the hotel and the whole place has nice garden and flowers everywhere.

We had a nice room (Irises) which overlooks the river. Room is very English cottage style. The only downside - no air conditioning at all - although it was okay during September with the windows opened.

Breakfast was really good and we also had a nice dinner at the hotel. The next day, the hotel arranged for taxis to bring us back to the center of town and paid for the taxis.

Try this place if you happen to be at Caldas de Reis - you won't regret it.

This is a pretty hotel with lovely grounds and a swimming pool fed by a mill stream with nice views. Although we wanted a twin room we had a double bed and a single bed which makes the room feel cramped. It could easily take two single beds. The bathroom was adequate but there was nowhere to put your toiletries down.
The dinning room has a balcony where couples can eat and also there is a large dinning table with smaller tables on either side of it indoors. There is constant low sounding music which I found annoying both in the dinning room and library. The food was a little disappointing, a good soup but tough steaks with chips and no vegetables or salad. Most puddings were unavailable and the rest were not ones we liked. Breakfast was excellent and we could order eggs and bacon as well as choose from the buffet.
The staff were pleasant and we were picked up in their own mini bus and returned to Caldas de Reis the next day to continue our pilgrimage to Santiago. There was a nice terrace to sit outside and admire the view.

We had a hard day walking the Camiño and had this place pre booked. Needed to call from town the be picked up (the hotel pays for a taxi to get you and return you to the town next day). Short ride to the hotel and it was truly amazing.
A gated compound with the main building a restored textile mill. We had the Camelia room and it was gorgeous. Beautifully furnished, warm and welcoming. The grounds are extensive with manicured lawns, a pool fed by the local river, library, lounge room, balconies, garden settings - everything you could want.
Meals were a delight, with plenty of choices, fine crockery and silverware and beautiful table linen.
The staff were very attentive.
If we didn’t have to resume our walk the next day we would have stayed for a few more nights.

Have never seen a more unique setting ever! Camino ways booked this and we were more than impressed. The land is lush all around with rivers running through it. Flowers everywhere! The details outside the buildings as well as every room inside were first class. I would give this hotel more than 5 stars if that were possible. Iris was very attentive to any needs or questions we had. I wish we could be here longer. We came in from our Camino walk tired to the bone and this was the perfect respite ! Food was delicious. I would come back here again if ever in Spain again. There is so much history in the buildings and the renovations are exceptional. Don't miss this hotel if you are coming to caldas de Reis for a special occasion . Would be a perfect honeymoon spot! The pictures don't do it justice
