Visited with family having checked there were gluten free and vegan options on the menu.
Can't fault the staff or the interior of the pub. Lovely people and great views. We would definitely go again.
The 'but' is the gluten free battered cod and chips just means battered cod with the batter removed and the vegan nachos means nachos with no cheese.
The vegan and gluten free options need to be real options and not omissions!

I visited here approx a year ago for a family meal and the food was awful and the service was shocking to the point of everyone ordering two drinks at a time because of the wait for just one.Now on to the food, the portions are small considering your paying £14 for a roast dinner and having to order extra roast potatoes due to having only two on the plate. The cauliflower cheese was basically cauliflower with a very small amount of a packet cheese sauce mix which was disgusting. My sister decided to book here for mothers day which i was reluctant to go but thought maybe on my first visit they were having a bad day so gave them another chance, and how i wish i hadn't. A few of us ordered the lamb and when it finally came to the table it looked like it had been shredded and left under a heat lamp as it was as dry as the Sahara desert. The red cabbage was so caramelised it was almost burnt and tasted very bitter. Yet again the cauliflower cheese was awful along with the rest of the food and the service, all i have left to say is that we would never go back, and advise any one to seriously think upon booking a table here.

Good, reasonably priced Sunday roast. A few of the choices had gone by 5pm but still plenty to choose from - including vegetarian and vegan options. My only complaint would be that we could have done with a few more spuds, especially as they were so good!

Visited with a friend who recommended this place. Definitely a massive improvement over past years.

Service was first class as was the beer. The food took a while to arrive but with it being cooked to order that wasn’t an issue. I had the fish and chips, lovely (could have done with more mushy peas). My friend had the pie off of the specials menu and said it was great.

I will definitely visit again when back in the area.

For a pub restaurant it was really good service although a little slow as it was very busy, but constantly reassured that food was on it's way. I had explained my mother was not too good at stairs so they made sure we had a table on the ground floor. My mum is not too steady on her feet but there's a slope at one entrance which was good for getting in and mum managed the three steps when we were leaving, albeit a little slowly! Food was excellent but definitely need to sort upstairs toilet for disabled comfort.
