“"Another Great Stay at our Home Away from Home"”
Reviewed 13 February 2012

Just came back from 2 weeks at the Links at Divi Golf and Beach Resort and once again we had a great time. The studio we have is spacious with all the conforts of home and the in room wi-fi (not free but reasonable) worked perfecty as I do need to work a bit while away. It was not functioning the last 2 years The infinity pool is gorgeous and thank Marilyn the tender of the pool bar from her hospitality as well as the rest of the pool staff and bargenders. Tuesday is fun at the pool with hot dogs and burgers and entertaiment by Giovanni. Also dont forget to hit Mulligans for snacks or dinner and the manager Vincent is doing an excellent job and there to assist in any way. They have entertainment at nite and great Karaoke on Thursday nites. Check in on Saturday took about 15 minutes and was fine and the new lobby is great. All in all cant wait to get back for another 2 weeks. There is regular shuttle service around the property if you do not have a car and the walk to the beach is 1 - 10 minutes depending on where you are on the property. Only suggestion is that they have more lounges on the beach as they are hard to find before 2pm.

We spent 2 weeks for the second time now at Divi Links All Inclusive. Fantastic place! And the All Inclusive package is very valuable since The restaurant Mulligan´s is included if you stay at Divi Links. This restaurant is brilliant! Good food, nice variety, staff is a mix from excellent to poor but ask for Hoover or the manager Vincent and you will never be disappointed! We will come back!

Ho Hum! 86-76 every day of the year! Come any time as Aruba is out of Hurricane alley (normally). This location is in the " low rise " area and is dominated by NYC,NJ & MA condo & time share folks.Get to the pool & beach at sun up as the regulars stake out the lounges very early with a towel ( and land mines I think). This is more low keyed beach life. Go to high rise area ( about 5 miles up the road ) to be with the crowds. TIP: take the small van bus that comes by regularly - cost $1.25 to go anywhere up/dowm Irausquin Blvd. Very pleasant and safe Island. Snorkeling was a bit disappointing as there were little color differences ( St Johns was much better). Don't miss Madame Jeanettes for dinner. LB Smith's downtown in the Renaissance is very good as well. 1 bedroom suite was in great shape but my location was a bit noisy ( near elevator, walkway, behind pool side restaurant) but ya win some and lose some when exchanging from Disney quality!

Room Tip: higher floor may give you view of beach across street ( 5 story bldg)

Just completed a week's stay at The Divi Golf and Beach Resort on my favourite Caribbean island. We had rented a studio but we we're upgraded to a one bedroom condo without even asking. The condo was in building 3, at the fron of the resort, facing the pool. It was recently renovated and very large, very nice and comfortable. The bed was king sized and rivaled our own for comfort back home so we slept very well.
Druiff beach was across the street from the pool and is one of the best beaches in Aruba as it is very large and there is plenty of room for everyone. We often set up there first during the stay and spent a few hours on the ebach before moving to the pool for more sun and a few balashi's (Aruba's tasty local beer).
One of the best features at this Divi is the gym located right on the beach. I enjoyed hitting the treadmill in the morning in an air conditioned gym, and looking out over the ocean through the floor to ceiling windows (Hey! I'm from Canada! It's too hot to run outdoors in Aruba!). The equipment is older but it still works fine and there is plenty of room.
The pool at front is frequented mostly by adults while the infinity pool near the golf course is busy with children, so depending on how you are traveling, you have choices.
We had dinner one night at Mulligan's and was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was and the menu was fairly extensive. We never tried Windows as we felt that we would have the same experience as Mulligan's due to the fact that it was in the same building and shared the same kitchen.
The grocery store is a quick cab ride away and worth it. We provisioned our unit for breakfast and some light lunch fare as we ate out every night for dinner.
We rented bikes from Divi ($10 per day) and rode from the hotel up to the Lighthouse which is a good hike. The bikes are a little clunky but they get the job done. I recommend packing a light bag and stopping at Arashi beach located at the base of the Lighthouse) for a few hours on the way back. You will be glad you did. Bring a mask and snorkel if you want. Psst! i'll share a secret...LOWER THE CONE OF SILENCE!...stop in at the Holiday Inn and spend some time there at the beach bar, pool, and on the beach (which is fantastic, by the way). The valets will tell you where to park and lock your bike. It's casual and laid back, just the way we like it.
Looking for a few good meals without breaking the budget? There are several around the Alhambra casino (a good italian one named Elliotti's I think) and you can get there by shutlle from the Divi.
Want another secret? again...LOWER THE CONE OF SILENCE!....stroll down to the Divi Tamarind which is located on the beach. As it is an all inclusive, you have to go to the front desk and buy some coupons to use the beach bar. The good news is that you can use the pool and the loungers which are right at the beach. Tip the bartender well when you first belly up to the bar and you'll be treated very well.
Finally, bring a camera to the Druiff beach at sunset and memorialize your stay in Aruba!

Room Tip: Back end of resort....families and golf addicts. Front part of resort....couples and party animals

Check in was definitely better this year. Many of the units are fairly new and up to date. The construction is simplistic and not always square. Do like the all tile floors. NO carpet! Flat screen TVs in living area and bedroom. The sound system in my unit didn't work last year and again this year. Housekeeping is good. The pools are clean and very well maintained. Not water front but only a short walk away. Many units have golf course or pool views. The "infinity pool" is beautiful and on most days there are enough lounge chairs. Maintenance of the units could be better with the significant maintenance fees charged if you own a timeshare. One major issue is for an upscale property to charge its timeshare owners for sketchy at best Internet service. $50 for a week! Geez, that is what I pay for 3 months in Washington DC! Second year in a row I have been told, "we are working on it".

We just got home from a 6 night stay. We were with family and friends and had adjoining rooms. Check-in was a little slow as expected. The rooms were very clean, the housekeepers did a great job! There was easy access to the beautiful Druif beach right across the street. You have to be up early to reserve your "hut" if you want any shade. My husband had the buffet breakfast every morning at "Sea Breeze", which was good. We ate at "Mulligan's" several times too and it had a great view and good food. The pool was very busy and although we tried several times to spend our money at the swim up bar, service was slow or not at all. The infinity pool was great with a view of the golf course. We had a fabulous time and enjoyed the resort. Only a short cab ride away from Downtown or the Palm Beach highrise area. The other Divi's that are all-inclusive looked great too and were right on the beach. We might try that next time. We definately recommend this resort for families.

Room Tip: We stayed on the 3rd floor and had a great view. There are no elevators so if you don't like st...

We have just come back from our third visit to Aruba. We stayed at the Links section of the Divi, and must say all the units are brand new and very nice. It reminded us of a nice NYC condo! The beach is the BEST on the island, it is at leat four times the size of any other beach around. The staff were all veryfriendly and helpful and shoud be commended. The ONLY complaint is the limited "Huts" at the beach, and no options like an umbrella to give you some shade. Also, they need an attendant to keep "cruisers" and others from taking the limited amount of lounge chairs available on the beach. Other wise this was a great RCI trade.
