“Passions at the Amsterdam is a must for Aruba”

The beast beach dining atmosphere in Aruba.. located in the low rise area on Eagle Beach at the Amsterdam Manor.. the service is oustanding.. and food is excellent.. the Steak Au Poive, Sesame Crusted Black Sea Bass with Tamari Soy Ginger Sauce Wasabi and Filet with Rock Lobster tails were first rate.. go for the atmosphere and a relaxing evening at sunset... staff will treat you to a great dinning experience.. always stop here when in Aruba

“Go for the atmosphere, food is average for the price”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 April 2012

The scenery and atmosphere is worth checking this place out, but for the price of the menu, I was not too impressed with our meals.

“Okay, but there are better restaurants”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 April 2012

We went to passions just after easter. It was nice to see the sun set but that's about it. The food was okay and didn't have a lot of vegetarians options. The tables and chairs needed new linens to make it a bit nicer. The service was pretty good. Just average. Definitely not a must when there are so many other fabulous places to go.

“Very romantic dinner, food was decent”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 April 2012

Plus:
1. The view was great. All the tables are right on the beach, spaced far enough apart so you can not hear anyone else. We were lucky enough to get the table closest to the ocean. The view is great.
2. The service was very good. The only part we did not like was getting a check which took forever. However, it seems like it took a long time wherever we went. "Island time".

The food was average. I had the sesame seed bass which was over cooked. My wife had the catch of the day and said it was great.

Overall: The view was great, service was good. Prices were on par with other restaurants in Aruba. A good place to go for a romantic dinner.

“Good but limited menu”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 April 2012

The service here was wonderful. All the wait staff was very attentive...even waitresses that were not assigned to us checked on us. You will have a perfect sunset view so time your visit appropriately. The wait staff will call cabs for you too. The menus are lit up at night for easy reading. The food didn't stand out to me but wasn't bad. There was a descent selection of wines but the menu choices were limited. This place is worth a visit for a great sunset dinner.
