My wife and I made our 17th visit in March. It's great to see our friends at The Surf Club including Shem and others. Also great to see the people who go the same week year after year. Everyone is so friendly, that's one reason we keep returning. Every year there are renovations and unbelievable to watch them clean thoroughly daily including the grills. The weather was perfect and beautiful sunsets.

Stayed: March 2018, travelled as a couple

Spent a week here in March of 2018. It was well kept and what one would expect of the Marriott properties. We are Owners of a Time Share within Marriott to clarify. The property was nice but it did not seem to have the same feel from the staff we have grown accustom to. Our room was in the Spyglass tower and it felt like a long walk to get to the beach. The challenge of the Papala's (spelling) was never much fun. Many could not see the beach because there were so many and so cramped. I will say the one employee that was wonderful was Philip down on the beach. He was always smiling, gracious and respectful. He is the employee that exemplifies Marriott. If we go back to Aruba, we will most likely stay elsewhere. To clarify, our youngest was 23 and I can see this would be a great place for families with young children though, the pool area was accommodating for kids.

Thank you for your review, Tom. We are always happy to hear from Owners and appreciate your feedback on your stay. It is awesome to hear your kind words for Philip and that he went above and beyond while you were at the resort. We do hope to see you again soon at a Marriott Vacation Club Resort.

We just enjoyed three weeks at the Surf Club using our timeshare. We know that coming here always results in a feeling of being in paradise. The weathers in Aruba is always perfect and Marriott does everything to keep this property up to date and welcoming! The only negative is having to arise so early in the morning to snag a lounge chair!

We stayed at the Marriott Surf club for the March break and the kids had a great time in the pool. The lazy river and the water slide were a real hit!
We also did a few of the kids activities. They were fun but some were a bit pricey. Kids movie night was $60 for two kids parents could leave them. Sounds great but it is a little pricey for Canadians that translates to over $90 for two hours. Remember to book a reservation the night before for your dinner out or you will have kids being watched with no place for you to go. Good restaurants on site fill quickly.
Overall a great place for families. I would go back!

The pool is fantastic. It's actually more like 20 pools in one, with everything from volleyball to slides, to little kids pool to adult pool, and more... Great resort for a family vacation with kids. Food is very very basic American food (everything fried). The beach is great!
