Ate here twice, Asian buffet night and al a carte. Asian buffet was extensive and had some beautiful seafood. We did not bring a big enough appetite to do it it justice and therefore can't comment on everything but others said the stir-fry section was the highlight. Not good value for us but if hungry enough you'll have no complaints at the BD$700+ per couple bill including drinks. Al a carte provides Asian, Local and Italian options plus grilled meat and seafood. Food was very tasty and large portions (bit too much) and a very close second to the Cliff. The staff are excellent, very welcoming and professional but still good fun.

Okay, Sandy Lane is over the top beautiful and exclusive. We overheard a couple talking about the Saturday Asian Buffet at Bajan Blue and how spectacular it is. We had to find out for ourselves. We arrived early to soak in the ambiance and have a cocktail. The patio area has large trees and many covered tables and booths. One area for hotel guests only and another for interlopers like us. The gin and tonic for me and a glass of champagne for my beautiful wife were accompanied by tasty hors d'oeuvres. When ushered in to the buffet the Maitre'D walked us through the entire buffet and seated us at a wonderful table. I cannot do the buffet justice - raw bar, salads, stir fry, sushi, multiple curries, Japanese, so much more and a vast dessert selection. I went back three times (starve yourself first). Maybe four. And the staff were so friendly, so helpful, including the sommelier. This is very expensive and we'll with the experience. Word of caution, no shorts - I had to leave and come back. Will do it again next year.

Afternoon tea here was just brilliant, the sandwiches and cakes were perfect and the portions were also just as good. The staff were so friendly from the moment we arrived. This was one of the best afternoon teas I have experienced and I recommend it.

We had been recommended to go here specifically for the Sunday lunch buffet and we were not disappointed. The location is wonderful, although we were very hot as it was a searing day and as it is open to the terrace, with no air movement, it was very warm. However the food and the service made up for that. There is every conceivable food on the buffet, from succulent seafood, a sushi bar, pasta, salads, every tyoe of vegetable dish right up to the full and varied carvery roasts, followed by gorgeous desserts. My only regret is not having room for it all, especially the amazing cheeseboard.
Sandy Lane is a marmite experience, in that some say it's too posey and expensive and others love it. As non residents we were made to feel relaxed and welcome, with excellent staff who were friendly and attentive - nothing was too much trouble and all done with a smile.
It was probably the most expensive Sunday lunch we have ever had but we will definitely return as it was an amazing experience and well worth the money.

My parents and I had Sunday lunch at Bajan Blue which was a lovely experience but you're definitely paying for the Sandy Lane name. Don't get me wrong, it was a lovely meal with plenty of choice and the setting really made it for us, as well as the attentive staff, but we felt the food itself is better at Tides. We had 1 bottle of wine, 2 fruit cocktails and 1 soft drink which came to something like £499 so not for the faint hearted!
