Lots to see and do. Has a romantic feel. Great food and music everywhere. Would recommend staying in Havana for a few nights on your first trip to wander around before hitting a beach resort.

A little rough around the edges, but Old Havana proved to be full of history, charm, and culture. It was a beautiful and eye opening place to visit.

We like many people stayed here, as part of our Caribbean trip aboard a MSC cruise ship, We had a total of 5 days on our back to back 15 night cruise,
The city is vast and to see it, you should get the hop on hop off bus just outside the cruise terminal, the whole trip if you dont get off is around 2hrs.
It is also a pleasure to walk around the old streets to the main tourist areas, too numerous to mention. Although much of the city is crumbling, which is a shame because the buildings are beautiful. That said there is a huge amount of building work going on, and very sympathetically done . the citys public buildings have already been refurbished, the capital building looks new, inside and out.
well worth a trip is the short ferry ride over to casa blanca, with the huge figure of Christ and the fort complex, this is a locals ferry so no frills so very cheap.
Havana is also great after dark through the streets not far from the cruise terminal, with some lively bars and live music in outside piazzas.
The only criticism i have is with the government, although visas are around £30 for 30 days, every time you leave Havana ie on the cruise and come back you need to buy another visa. This spoils it a bit.

Is a fantastic place. Old and really authentic. Where there for 3 days. Is enough. Dont buy cigars from the street they are all fake.
Everybody want to sell you something. If you ask a favour they want to have some tip.
Even telling you where are hot spot places for the internet.
Internet cards cost one cuc but they will try to sell you for 2 or 3 cuc.
