We did not stay here as there was only one room available and we required two but the apartment was lovely and the owner and staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed at Ricardo's Apartment just two blocks away, owned by the boyfriend of one the staff. This apartment was not a charming but the woman responsible to take care of the apt and guests was lovely - Mayi - made the stay a great experience. Even if there is no room available you will be well taken care of.

Room Tip: We did not actually sleep here but they all lloked nice, opening on to a wide hall with an inner atr...

I can definitely recommend this casa in Havana. The rooms are nice, clean and you get a bathroom all to yourself. I stayed in two different rooms. One facing the street which was quite noisy to say the least but then again you have a balcony for people watching. The other room was inside the building, no windows but nice and quiet. But all in all I would definitely stay in the room with the balcony (remember ear plugs).
I traveled in Cuba as a solo female traveler. This casa is located in the more cuban part of town away from the tourist. You can walk to the main square in 10 minutes and you are among all the other tourists and all that jazz. I had no problem staying in the more colorful part of town, I walked home late at night without any problems but a few 'hola - taxi lady?' comments on the way.

Miriam speaks only spanish and a little french. We communicated in sign language (and a tiny little bit of spanish) and that went well. I would stay here again if I am lucky enough to visit Cuba one more time.

Room Tip: The room with the balcony but it is noisy.

We also stayed in Ricardo's apartment around the corner as Casa Miriam y Sinai was full. It is a lovely apartment in Centro Habana with lots of space and a fantastic little balcony from which you can watch life go by. Sinai's friend Mayi comes in every morning to cook breakfast and is very friendly and welcoming. Despite my appalling Spanish and her limited English she managed to give us some good tips on where to go and was very helpful when I got ill. Sinai (who has perfect English) was also just around the corner to help. We loved Centro Habana - far less tourists than Habana Vieja but still plenty of atmosphere and places to eat and drink. Highly recommended.

Beautiful house in central havana. Miriam and Sinai are so nice and helpful. The room on the street side is quite noisy (just like everywhere else in Cuba!) but the place is really great. I would definitely recommend it.

We arrived at Miriam y Sinai's Casa on our first night in Cuba. The key was dropped from their balcony in Central Havana, attached to a little cushion, and we knew this was going to be a good start to our holiday. The Casa is a large apartment with a lovely atrium, and our bedroom and private bathroom was huge, with a little balcony overlooking the street. Miriam and Sinai were so friendly, helpful and we met their great family at breakfast each morning. The location is much better than being in the Old Town, you really feel part of Havana life. And it's 3 blocks away from the sea. I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in the city.

Room Tip: The first room overlooking the street is recommended.

Casa Miriam y Sinai was actually full when we stayed in Havana but Sinai found us accommodation at Casa Ricardo Morales which was wonderful and elsewhere when we wanted to stay longer, but we also went round to Casa Miriam y Sinai which was really beautiful. The area is very vibrant and convenient for seeing Havana. Sinai and Ricardo were incredibly friendly, charming and helpful and we had a perfect holiday - I would definitly recommend it

During a road trip in Cuba last Summer, casa particulares was our best bet for a comfortable stay and a good interference with the locals.

Miriam y Sinai has been the best stay throughout our whole journey! Extremely friendly, talkative and ready to help you at any instance. Rooms were reaaaly big and air condition was working 24/7 (if you wanted to).

Location was great since you could just stroll around any time of the day (ok - you might want to avoid late night)

Definitely stay there when you are in Havana!
