After our drive in a convertible Chevrolet down the Malecon, we had the driver drop us off at this restaurant. Climbing the few flights of stairs was worth the effort. Luckily, we were able to get one of the tables along the balcony with 180-degree view of the water and edges of old Havana. We started off with Revolution (vodka based) Mojitos which were delicious and strong. For our lunch, we ordered caviar canapes, lamb ravioli, a large cabbage roll, and chicken Kiev. All was wonderful. I would order all these items again. It was amazingly light - the fresh herbs were garden-fresh!
The décor is tastefully done with iconic posters from the USSR era. Even the Russian music was a nice touch. For a bit of fun, there are several Soviet military hats to pose in if you like.
