Very nice hotel, right in Willemstad. Definitely best when you have a seaside room, then you can also watch the cruise ships come in and leave and enjoy the fresh breeze on the balcony. The rooms are decent size, but there was nothing in the minibar (not sure if this is standard on Curaçao). The fitness room is quite small but ok. The food was ok, nothing special, i would have expected a bit more.
Excellent is the infinite pool with a bar directly located on the sandy pool- beach.

This was the second trip to the Renaissance Hotel. We had been there 3 years ago and couldn't wait to go back! We really liked the location. We could walk to the fort, downtown and shopping, but then could go up to the amazing "beach". The infinity beach was great! The beach was sandy and even had palm trees and Tiki umbrellas and was about the size of a football field. You then walked into a gradual sandy bottom, salt water infinity pool which was also the size of a football field. Cruise ships and tankers coming in and out kept us entertained, but didn't effect us in the pool. We didn't usually have any trouble finding lounge chairs, when we did, the staff would keep there eyes out to find us one. We ate at the infinity pool every night and the food was superb! My husband is very picky about his steak and said that the tenderloin was the best that he had ever had, so I tried it the next night and had to agree with him! The staff at the infinity pool couldn't have been nicer! Bianca, Elisabeth, Shagira, Juvienska, and Ruella were the best! They would come around the beach and get you drinks, food or anything you wanted. The staff at the hotel couldn't have been nicer or more friendly

Room Tip: We had a room with an ocean view with a balcony. We could sit out there and listen to the ocean and watch boat traffic.

My family and I went for lunch at the Renaissance Hotel Curacao. The establishment was clean, the servers were very attentive, friendly, and well-groomed. The food was a buffet and they had a variety of delicious foods: lambs, seafood, sushi, soup, salad, and a variety of delicious and local desserts. In all we had a great time.
The only negative aspect of the experience was that on this particular day there were 5 different occassions where our conversation was interrupted because of birthday celebration/singing. We were only there for about an 1.5 hours and it wasn't even busy. But I expected something like that in Chilis or Applebees, not in a higher quality restaurant like Renaissance.

We read about the smoky lobby, but it was not awful as some had described. We were always able to find lounge chairs on the beach in the shade, which was great. The hotel was in a great location, and we were easily able to walk to several nearby restaurants. It was helpful having a car to get to places further away, and the parking garage was convenient.

Hotel concierge and check in staff were super welcoming and efficient and helpful from arrival to departure.
My room was on fourth floor and a little noisy but all good with ear plugs.
Plenty of towels and daily housekeeping. Ice machines on each floor.definitely request upper floor and external mall view rather than over pool view.
Buffet breakfast for usd26 per person had everything you could possibly want on any day including omelette station.
Close to Rif Fort which has bars, restaurants, souvenir shops, jewelers, spa and live music on a number of nights to cater for cruise ships coming into dock.
Man made beach on second floor with infinity pool overlooking the bay which is spectacular on the every sunny day. Get out early to bag a bed under palm tree or umbrella.
Go see Thanks at Swarovski in the mall

Room Tip: Top floor 461-471
