This was my last choice in Santo Domingo, and no me will be my first option. The staff is always willing to help you . The rooms are clean and immaculate. The breakfast is abundant and very good. The food in the terrace is perfect to end your business day. They have plenty of siting space to work in the lobby . Definitely, this is a Marriott with high standards .

This hotel gave us a typical Marriott experience which is what we were looking for. It is a reasonably safe property. We found it a bit pricy for the limited amenities it offers. The hotel has few food options. There is a hamburger restaurant in walking distance and a few other places.

I like it very much when the staff remembers your name, when they run the extra mile when assisting you, when they treat you as if you were part of their family. Thanks much to all hotel staff, specially to all the restaurant staff. Keep it up guys! (Anabel, Margaret, Juan de Dios, Rafael, Emanuel, et al, sorry I can't mention all of you, this text box is limited)

Room Tip: book your room at least 2 weeks prior to your trip.

I love all Marriott hotels i've been in... i believe they have the best beds when it comes to hotels even their lower end in price hotels the beds are wonderful. The staff here is friendly and very accommodating, i love to have a balcony and they went out of their way to be able to give me one every time i checked in. On this trip i checked in 2times being i went to a resort for a couple of days before returning to the capital. The hotel is very close to the Malecon a tourist part of the capital and a few blocks from the ocean. No swimming allowed but there are many bars and restaurants along the ocean. Within walking distance there is a mcdonalds, wendys, taco bell, a 24hr.pharmacy, a supermarket--- all within walking distance and on the same street. FYI the Mcdonalds delivers during the day.
The hotel is close to mayor street in the capital city, to malls, restaurants and shopping centers. Its perfectly located close to everything but far enough to be a nice and quiet place to stay at. Once you come of the street Maximo Gomes where its located and you are inside you forget you are smacked right in the middle of a heavy traffic metropolitan city.
I have never ordered room service but the prices seem affordable. The fridge is empty and water is $2 a bottle. They do have a little store in the main lobby with snacks in case of a late night craving, a little over priced but you are paying for the service as well. The whole staff from the front desk to the door greeter, to the maintenance personnel and the room cleaning ladies, everyone is very nice and polite. The rooms are impeccable. You do get coffee and tea complementary in your room with creamers and sugar, refilled everyday by the cleaning ladies. Need extra towels, pillows or sheets -- not a problem. Air conditioning is superb and the patio by the pool is really nice.
internet access is free all over the hotel, and there are computers with an available printer free of charge in the lobby.
theres a gym and laundry room, parking is free, in room safe is free of charge too.
water pressure is great.

Room Tip: for me the higher the better but thats my personal preference along with a balcony.
