The basic rooms are basic - and feel well worn. It smelled a little damp and the renovations feel like they were implemented by the lowest bidder. But the location is beautiful, the food is great, varied and seemingly endless. We didn’t really make the most of the resort (we missed all the evening entertainment, our kids didn’t join the teens club, we didn’t do tennis, golf, archery, etc.) but the beach and the pool and the sun were beautiful. Snorkelling was great for the kids - lots to see in the shallows. We did a boat trip one day as one of the excursions - “fun boat” (snorkelling at a reef, being towed on a floating rubber ring, fishing, water skiing, etc. We had a small boat to ourselves. It was $800 for 4hrs, and we didn’t go more than 1km from the resort - but it was a highlight. I wish we’d gone further afield and explored outside the pampered affluent enclave!
