This was our annual girls trip which is seven of us (40+ in age) celebrating birthdays. It was our first time to the Dominican Republic and our third stay at a Grand Palladium resort. We are never disappointed with Palladium Resorts.
Our rooms were on the Bavaro side of the resort. We had junior suites with swim up rooms which was like having a private pool. Punta Cana has beautiful beaches, which we also had a great view of and the beach was only steps away. GP Punta Cana is VERY large, but there are numerous shuttles to hop on and off that will take you around the grounds during the day and evening.The staff was great, very helpful, always pleasant and the majority speak English if you're concerned about a language barrier.
Dinners were at the Spanish, French, and Indian restaurants. It's difficult to pick a fav as all the meals were delicious. Not sure if reservations are required but definitely recommended for the restaurants - we found when we made our reservations for late evening, it was easier to accommodate our group and also less crowded.
There are several buffet locations for breakfast, lunch and dinner, also a snack hut on the beach area that had great burgers and chicken.
We had a great, fun time and would definitely go back!

We were 4 at grand palladium punta cana (2 adults and 2 children under 7 years-old).
The resort is great and has everything you need. Besides all the ordinary things a Caribbean resort has (fantastic pools, nice gardens, great beach) I'd highlight the food at the buffets (absolutely amazing the number of options available at a very nice quality level) and the kids club where my daughters spent some hours playing with the babysitters.
The resort was having several renovation works, but with no impact in our stay. I really don't know if our room was or was going to be renovated however it was very good and big enough for the 4 of us.

One word for staff: excellent and always ready to help. Some of the ones serving at the tables in the buffet were the less friendly but I don't think it was a problem.

For me there are 2 things to improve: 1. The golf cars that help you to get around the resort should come by more frequently. Not so often we had to wait more than 20 minutes for transportation to arrive to get us to the room. With small children wasn't feasible to walk until the destination. More than twice my younger daughter feel asleep at the dinner table and having to carry her on my lap till the room... well I just say that would be tiring. 2. There are too many guys trying to sell you something. The hotel guys try to sell the travelplan membership, several artisans try sell painting, bracelets, sculptures, etc, tons of guys try to sell you excursions every day and at the beach, besides the excursions, cigars, photos with monkeys, iguanas or araras. They respect when you say no but... you can't relax 100%.

I Highly recommend this resort.

It's took me a while to write this review but I had to comment, don't be put off by any negative reviews of this hotel, I just think those people who have managed to find anything to complain about must think the world owes them something.
We came to the palladium grand really by accident, as we were supposed to be staying at the riu bamboo but got told we were going to be staying here as the bamboo was under renovation, and my God we were not disappointed, the staff were very friendly and helpful especially Stanley he treated us so well and shouted to us every morning as he arrived on his push bike, the cocktails were very good so was the food in the buffet restaurant and the Al a carte restaurants if you get there not too late if you get there late they give you a beeper when you're table is ready so you can relax and wonder about, the beach is stunning, yes there is seaweed for Gods sake it's a natural thing in the ocean it washes up, pools are beautiful and plenty of them, rooms were lovely we had a jacuzzi in our room and the mini bar was stocked every day our house keeper was Yolanda who did a great job, we had a trip to sanoa Island it was a very long day but well worth the wait the island is beautiful, all in all you will enjoy this place as we did, so much so that we are going to the grand palladium kantenah resort in Rivera Mexico in two weeks because this chain of hotels is so much more than I ever expected, thank you all the staff and cannot wait to see your colleagues in Mexico

Beach, food, drink and entertainment is excellent. Service is very good. Punta cana entertainment is very good. Margarita carolina Natalie Mandela banana and Roberto. The beach is awesome. Casino and spa were excellent service.

I stayed at the Grand Palladium Punta Cana Resort and Spa. The hotel staff was amazing! The wonderful experience started with our friendly check in host, Wilifredo. He was very accommodating and was able to get me and my friends in adjoining rooms. Our next amazing encounter was with the Zentropia Spa. Alex put together an amazing package and throughout our stay checked to see how we were doing. The spa was amazing!!! Make sure you get the VIP package! The next encounter was with the POP team. The entire team was amazing but Jose and Nelson were the best! They both took very good care of my friends and I. They checked on us daily as well and ensured we had a great time! They will be missed greatly. Last but not least a special thanks to Indiana for the Salsa lessons (mi amiga), JoDany, Holland and Isaiah for being our personal chauffeurs and checking on us.

The food was good and the staff was just ok in the restaurants at the Punta Cana resort. Our favorite place to dine was at the Japanese restaurant at the Bavaro. They were doing a few renovations at the Punta Cana so the lobby and Japanese restaurant should be complete in a few months.

I am already searching for flights to visit again.
