Stunning and worth every penny!

My husband and I went to the Royalton Punta Cana from January 19-26th. I can honestly say that I had tears in my eyes when we had to leave. Everything about this resort was more than what we expected.

The service was wonderful and everyone was incredibly friendly. I can't tell you how many times I was asked if there was anything that they could do for me. AND they really meant it. The most exceptional people that we came across were Wandy Cuerto,who seemed to be everywhere, Elvira the waitress and Fredrick the butler from the adults only pool, Luis from the Martini Bar, and Jose the butler at the diamond club beach area.

We had booked the adults only, beach view, swim out room #1112. We were met with drinks at the reception check in, a bottle of champagne and fruit in our room, and a fully stocked bar with beer and hard alcohol in our room. This hotel does not skimp on any food or beverage! We had caviar, lobster, amazing steak, wine, cheese, and everything else under the sun. I can honestly say that I have never had caviar served to me on a beach bed overlooking the most incredible waves before. It is something I will be repeating!

I would highly recommend the Diamond Club if you are not traveling with children (although we saw lots of kids in the diamond club part too). And the Adults only pool was the most relaxing part of our trip. The adults pool was an oasis of no children, a private bar just for the pool guests and finding a beach bed was never an issue. The Diamond club included a private beach area which was really nice as the regular beach was pretty packed and it appeared that a chair might be difficult to locate.

If there was something that I had to find wrong about the hotel, there were two very small issues. One, the service at the lobby bar was slow at times, and the smell from the toilet in our bathroom was occasionally a bit overpowering. However, please remember, you can shut the bathroom door and you can always go to one of several other bars in the hotel.

We went on several excursions during our stay, and I would recommend the zip lining to anyone. Getting there is half the adventure. But it was very safe and a lot of fun!

Basically, I am sitting at home and looking at pictures and counting the days until we can go back. However the next time it will be for 2 weeks. 8 days was not nearly long enough.

We had a great experience at this hotel. Service was fantastic here. Food was very good. Can't go wrong with any of the restaurants. Special thanks to George ferreira who was awesome during our dining experience at the Japanese restaurant that we had to go back the second night again to see him. Wanda was absolutely great with us. She was very attentive and always smiling. We sat in the same pool side area all week because of her. Overall it was a great experience at the royalton hotel. We would all come back again.

Stayed at the Royalton 4-18 Feb. More by luck than judgement we were in the Diamond club by booking a Superior room. A special thanks to Yerical, Amarylis and Pamela they were great. Our room was in Building 6 on the ground floor, very close to all amenities. I agree with other reviewers, the hotel is not very well insulated and is very noisy with banging about in corridors all times of day and night. The food was excellent (but they will chill the red wine!) and take one plate away before the other person has finished, sometimes the waiters are too keen to clear the table, they often take things away when you are at the buffet! Overall we had a very good relaxing holiday but the sun bed situation needs addressing very soon and also the volleyball needs moving away from the Diamond club beach. Diamond club is a must as the other part of the beach (shared with other hotel) is very "Benidorm". Would recommend.

The name says it all! The rooms were beautiful, the restaurants were excellent, the beach was spectacular with plenty of shade and the pools were magnificent! The most incredible feature of the resort though, was the staff! We've been going to all inclusive resorts now for eight years in a row and by far the Royalton has the friendliest and most professional staff we have ever seen!

I would like to specifically thank three staff members who truly went out of their way to make my family's vacation a special one: KENIA who worked in the main lobby area, MICHAEL who worked in the Mediterranean Restaurant and CARLOS GERMAN who worked in the Lunch Bar/Italian Restaurant. It truly is staff members like these three who go out of their way that make your vacation a special one!

The only complaint I have is to those people who complain about a beautiful Resort like this one!!!

I must say I am very impressed and it is an honor to call the Entertainment team my friends and family abroad. having just returned from an amazing two week stay to teach Zumba Fitness and Aqua Zumba and other specialties. I must say that the team is very professional and energetic and go out of their way to make you feel relaxed energized and refreshed. You are always greeted with a smile, with a "hola" and friendly conversation about your day. This team puts in countless hours to make your stay full of excitement and events every day. From the Dancers and the countless hours of choreography and practice, to the staff that is on the beach giving fitness classes to the supervisors that pay every attention to detail and listen to your comments to bring you the best of what is popular; they listen...... recently one comment was that they were not able to know what is going on around resort and where for the events. well, you ask and they provided LCD screens listing the daily and weekly events on the resorts as well as a staff person to give you a better explanation.
These guys work hard. Starting fresh in the morning preparing for the day, going through a series of meetings of what is going on and then providing 110% service with a smile throughout the day. THey finish their day after the entertinment show at night and after they provide another round of dancing lessons in the disco till later that night night. and all to begin the next day.

To Francis, Pedro, Ismilsa, Miguel, Chocolate, Francisco, Daniel, Luis, Jourdan, Mary, Nelson
(hope I am not forgetting anyone) thank you from the bottom of my heart for making my stay a memorable one. Also, My mother and Roger( aka: mamajuana and Papajuana) extend their gratitude for such a rewarding experience that they will never forget.

Again they are a top notch team that puts in a ton of hours for your enjoyment. It was a pleasure working with them. And would not hesitate to work beside them a any point again.
I had the best vacation with them. They kept me laughing the whole vacation. I loved teaching with them and this is why i am going back down in april to work with them again.

We loved the service from Elvira and Jose at the adults only swimming pool. The food was excellent and the staff in the Royalton was very friendly. The "Diamond Club" makes it so more attractif. We surely come back to this beautifull resort to enjoy the Caribbean sun.
