Went there today, 23rd Jan 2018, for lunch at 12pm because the road-side sign looked persuasive and the slope down to it was not too steep. Found shade to park, under a mango tree! Thought this was idyllic.
But no. There were no people, no doors open and it the building looked dead.

Everybody is welcome to have lunch or dinner at this guesthouse-resort with 4 cottages, but advance booking is necessary. The few tables on a covered terrace overlooking many trees and the sea are decorated with a small vase with daily changing flowers.

Kiddusi, who runs the guesthouse and the restaurant and cooks himself always serves a three course meal of his choice. Being a rasta the food is ital. Even non-vegetarians will enjoy the nicely prepared meals, which Kiddusi always explains in details to his guests.

Anyway staying at his cottages we had three times dinner here, but never lunch, although this is also available (as there is breakfast for residents). The dinner usually starts with a soup, then come various cooked vegetables, then a dessert. All this is accompanied by a homemade fruit-juice or herbal-tea. Alcohol (although beer is available) is not encouraged, nor is coffee.

The first evening we had the typical Caribbean calloloo soup (from dasheen leaves). As a main course was served: quinoa with many spices, topped by cooked banana, then various vegetables like cauliflower, cale and tomatoes. There were also fried eggplants and a beetroot salad with onions. In the end there are always two desserts: a smoothie (this time from mango, guava, soursop and beetroot) and the a well-spiced chocolate cake. As an accompanying drink we got a mango-lime juice.

You cannot ask for more value for money than a 3 course vegetarian meal at Mango Bay for around 50ECD. You get served with a starter drink & appetizer, main course, soup and deserts!
We were the only ones for the lunch that day. The food flavours were on a little mild side and I wouldn't say were exceptional. The pizza slices were wholesome but could have been crisper and tastier.
Ensure a prior reservation as it has small seating capacity, couple staff members and don't be surprised if you are the only ones there!
The scenes from the restaurant are serene and one of the quietest places on the island.
Pretty much one of the best value meals so far in Grenada.

Found this little gem on Happy Cow and it is in a secluded spot, but well worth the journey from Pink Gin Beach. We were the only diners the evening we went and chef had prepared some callaloo soup with homemade bread, an absolutely delicious main course of veg curry, salad and a tasty pie with okra, followed by chocolate cake and fruit smoothie with fresh mango juice and lime to drink. Amazing tasty food and great service. Huge portions - we were well and truly stuffed. Cannot recommend highly enough. All this for just 72 EC dollars (approx £18) for 2 of us!
