This Sandals is beautiful. Service of staff is always friendly and helpful. Facility is clean. Grounds are beautiful. Food is excellent. Butler service was a plus. Ordell our butler was always available when needed. Plenty of beach space and chairs available at all times. Drinks were always available with someone walking around to take your order if you did not want to go to the bar. The Party Boat Cruise is a must. We went from 9-2PM and stopped at Margarittaville which was a blast also had time to snorkel, swim, dance and drink on this boat trip.
Only small problem was our Jr. Veranda Suite did not have a whirlpool tub as advertised and looking straight out from room there is a low wall that had bushes that were to high and blocked the ocean view. Our room was 1901 for your reference . However we were never in our room long as we were always at the beach.
We liked this resort enough to schedule a trip back next year , we will just pick a different room now that we know the area.

Room Tip: If you want to walk straight out to the beach then the honeymoon concierge beachfront walkout is the...

We just got back today from Mo Bay Sandals!!! We had the time of our lives!!! We went over to Sandals Royal Caribbean one day it was small, crowded, confined and boring. The reefs where not as cool as Mo bay either. The beach is small, crowded and the island is way overrated. We originally wanted to stay at Royal Caribbean and thank God we did not. Mo Bay is absolutely beautiful!!!! The rooms are clean, comfortable and gorgeous!!! If you go with a good attitude you will have a blast!!! There is so much to do. The Jamaican people are wonderfully complex, witty and very intelligent. You must snorkel or dive the reefs at Mo Bay they are awesome. Make sure you where your sunscreen. Being of Italian descent I am very spoiled when it comes to food but it was good and you will never go hungry. It is definitely not gourmet but the help and the environment make the dinner experiences worth it. I was also not crazy about the drinks. Red Stripe is the only beer at the resort unless you want to buy your own, and thus why do an all inclusive if you have to buy your own beer. The crazy thing is they serve rum from Guyana only!!! Are you kidding me no Jamaican rum in Jamaica that sounds like a crime to me. The Guyana rum is terrible compared to Jamaican rum so being a beer drinker and an Appleton rum lover I thought the drinks where the worst part of the trip. So if you are not a drinker or you don't care what you drink this may not bother you. Sandals has got to get the beer and rum thing together or they will probably lose a lot of business in the future!!! Just saying people like what they like not what they are told to like. I am sure Sandals could afford better for their guest! Oh well don't let this hold you back though, the whole experience is a must if you go with a good attitude. No worries Mon and you will have a great time at Sandals Mo Bay!!!

Room Tip: Did not see a bad room. They are all beautiful!

It's funny reading others reviews after going there myself. I disagree completely with some things and agree with others. First off, the planes are loud and definetly detract from the serenity of the place. The beach is great, couldn't ask for more really, especially after going to Sandals Carlyle or SRC. We ate on the island at SRC and were very glad to get back to SMB. After that we really appreciated the resort and how beautiful and well kept it is. My wife and I stayed in a butler suite and it was in great shape, quiet and private. Some staff at the resort weren't the most pleasant but they weren't disrectful or rude so it didn't bother me any. For the most part everyone was very nice and I enjoyed the personality that Jamaicans have. The only issue we had was getting bottled water was a pain and only possible thanks to our butlers. We hired a guide for $30/hr to take us on a personal tour of Mo-Bay and checked out a local restaurant, Scotchies. It was fun and interesting, the food was definetly better at the resort but the drinks were a much better quality, they actually tasted great were as on the resort the same drink was, well....drinkable. Butler service was absolutely worth it, and we did not really need it but it definetly made the trip so much better.

Once we went through customs in the airport, we had a driver from Sandals waiting on us. They loaded our luggage and within 10 minutes we were at the resort. On arrival we were greeted with towels with a lemon grass scent. It was a wonderful touch after a long flight, and it smelled wonderful! We had a little trouble checking in, we paid for a third floor ocean view, and they originally put us in a ground level with a garden view. We went back to the front desk and explained that we had paid for a third floor ocean view and within minutes and without any hassle we were on our way to our room. It was beautiful! This is a very peaceful and quiet resort. The lobby had plenty of guest activities in the evenings; we also enjoyed the beach party. The Italian and Japanese restaurants were the best!! The buffet style breakfast was also good, other than that the food was just okay. Not bad for an all inclusive though. The alcohol was actually strong! Which suprised me for an all inclusive! The Jamaica Smile is a must try drink!! My favorite!! We ventured out into Montego Bay one day, the resort called a cab for us; they were great to recommend a great driver. He took us to a few local shops and Margaretville. He waited on us, and it was really affordable. We felt a little nervous walking around town and the natives are very pushy with trying to sell you things. We took a guided tour to Negril and went cliff diving, it was beautiful on that side of the island! We also took a sunset cruise on the catamaran. It was really wonderful! Overall it was a nice resort. I would have liked a few more things to do with the all inclusive, since going into town was a little scary. It was nice to take the sandals bus to the other resorts in Monetgo Bay, it was free and you could even eat at the other resorts. It was a nice.

Room Tip: The third floor ocean view was beautiful, but it was a decent walk to the main activities. We enjoye...

Recently went back "home" to Sandals Montego Bay. I have traveled to several resorts throughout the Caribbean and none compare to how welcome the staff makes you feel at Mo Bay. Was met right away by Anna Kay, who went out of her way to cater to us. Nadine gave us a warm welcome, and as usual spoiled us. Vernal in food services was exceptional. The resort continues to thrive under the leadership of Josef. Can't wait to see the additions coming to the resort. Already booked our trip next back for next year. Looking forward to Beaches Turks & Caicos the first week of April!

On arrival at Sandals Montego Bay, we got a very warm reception by Anna Kay in the Concierge department. We hadn’t been there very long before Nadine looked us up to welcome us back, as well. We enjoyed the new Brick Oven Pizza with the surrounding seating. Of course, I did several dives with Donovan, FastCar and Winston. Tiny was the head of the dive shop when I started diving there many years ago, and I still enjoy it. Robert was our server at Oleander and Kirk at Stewfish. I think they both have a bright future at Sandals. I said that about Mark at Cucina several years ago, and he is now the manager. We had a great meal there, as well. We missed seeing Everton, but we wish him well with his newborn child. We look forward to seeing him next year. He better have baby pictures to show us. (Toddler by that time!) It was especially nice to see Josef (the GM) again. At the Returning Guest Dinner, he told us about the plans for a French Restaurant. Josef has a rare ability to keep all the guests happy and at the same time keep the staff happy and motivated. Many of the staff had complimentary things to say about the boss. We already have our reservations for SMB next year and we will be taking our children to Beaches Turks & Caicos the first week in April. Maybe we’ll run into Butch at Turks again this year! I hope you found some of this information helpful.

We stayed the week of Feb21-28. Apparently the people writing the other reviews on here have not been to the nicer Sandals. Planes during the day were not a problem, but 3 nights they were taking off every half hour until 3a.m. We had a butler suite (smaller than others we have stayed in) The butlers were great, the cell phones (3 different ones) were so bad we stopped calling the butlers after day 3. Food was average for a Sandals with the best being the Seafood Themadoor at Oleander. As far as liqour, They had Crowne royal the 1st day,ran out and said they were going to get more,4 days later still no Crowne. People from Carlyle said Crown was plentiful there. We spent 3 days at the Royal and had a great time there. Much quieter and the island was fun. Had the best Jerk in my life on the island. Had quite a few instances at the beach grill, and piano bar where apparently I had an invisible shield that made service terrible. Overall I would not recommend this resort. I would go back to SRC or Carlyle but not here. Try St Lucia Halcyon if you really want a good time,no planes, premium liqour, and larger rooms

Room Tip: in my opinion there are no good rooms here. the best room tip i can give is to go to a different res...
