Book the Bamboo raft trip thru NCl. Bus took us to the location and while we were riding to the location, we had a very nice and funny lady who kept us informed and made quite a few jokes that we just had to laugh at. Short ride to the area and had some time to look at a few vendors that sold crafts, pick up cold drinks, or use the restrooms as the trip down the river was about 45 minutes. There are locals along the way that have areas set up to sell things, but our "captain" never stop, or as we never asked to stop. He was very informative about vegetation that was growing along the river. At the end he did show us some of his carving, which we saw all the captains do before we exited the rafts. Pictures are available for $10 and food and drink was available for sale before we loaded back on the bus.

We were in Jamaica for the day in March on a cruise ship and did this tour as part of a ship tour. It was well organised and most enjoyable floating down the Martha Brae river with Ricardo, our Raft Captain. Having a local beer at the end of the tour was well worth it!

I would recommend doing this tour.

It is so nice to get away from the beach to paradise. Rafting down a river surrounded by beautiful trees and foliage is just such a nice departure. On the way down there are a couple of vendors where you can replenish you Red Stripes. A worthwhile excursion that all 4 of us enjoyed. Nice and cool too. Out of the sun.

We love Jamaica but usually are busy, busy, busy. This time we used a company we have used before, Kenny Tours, to take us around for a day. We went to Martha Brae for the river rafting. What a wonderful way to just sit back, relax and enjoy the beauty of Jamaica. For all the great things to do in Jamaica, I recommend taking a couple hours to just chill and relax on the river!!
