Turtle Beach Towers look like 4 council block of flats in London and the reception area is tucked right at the back of one of them. There are a number of studio and 1 bed apartments on offer and it depends on who your landlord is as the the condition of your property. We had a studio which was a good size with a queen bed but the sheets were double so did not fit! The bathroom was small and the kitchen area was ok although the utensils on offer looked like they'd been there for decades so we bought our own plastic cutlery! Our view out the window was blocked by the other tower block but the TV was excellent esp for the coverage of the Olympics. We were on the 10th floor, going up and down the lift was a bit scary wondering if they would break down!
The beach was not far to walk to and is free if you stay at a hotel. Security was visible although we were never asked for any id when going in and out the hotel. Many places to shop and eat were within walking distance and the area was not as busy as the other end of the town which was great, Island Village is right opposite if you want to mingle with the cruise ship tourists.More
