Not for the over indulged or spoiled.......This was our first trip to 7 mile and to Country Country, Monique the manager, was amazing! from our first email to our arrival. The property was lush and beautifully maintained, the cottages were clean and we had a full king size bed! The beach was steps from our door room 511....perfect. Country Country is not for everyone, if you like the big, hand and foot service of the all-inclusives, separation from the real Jamaica then this is not for you....we wanted a real Jamaican experience.....
We meet many fellow Canadians and some awesome Americans on our trip- Captain Peter & Crew ;), Pincher Creekers ;) and our Rochester Crew- Lee, Andy, Rob Jamaican Patty !! The exchange of informatin of these well traveller vistors was priceless...were to eat, relax, dance, and vist..great info....
Food: Catcha Falling Star #1 amazing food and view
Sun Beach Restaurant- Dennis is always glad to see you and dining on the beach is
amazing...
Niahs Pattys- makes them right infront of you and worth the $6- fab!
Country Country- never a bad meal and great breakies!

Staff: over and above- Monique, Jason, Lee, Davion, Opal, Angie, Super, Wayne,
Hyacinth,...the list goes on....

Drivers: Ernie, two thumbs, Donnie, great guy.

We chose non- inclusive to fully experience all the flavours of Jamaica and found it easy and convienient. The peddlers were ok....does wear you out after 4-5 days....the baked goods guy is fantastic.....but I would stay away from meat on the beach and wash your fruit FIRST.....we stocked our bar fridge for the week-$100 and budgeted approx. $100 a day on meals, which we only reached once...cheap and cheery :) Margaritaville is noise 2 nights a week but ear plugs solved that....big eyesore in my opinion, not "The Real Jamaica" at all.....Get out and explore the beach ...not much north of Country Country...south on the beach is better....

Compared to other places we saw, Country Country has the best accomidation, restaurant , beach and staff....We would chose the 500's- close to the beach- further back the cottages are well shaded, quieter...we prefer close to the beach....

This was our first visit...but not our last! We look forward to "coming home" next year....:)

Room Tip: Decide what you NEED. We don't mind noise..ear plugs solve it. we NEED to be close to the beach...

We traveled with our family of 4 for a 3 day trip over President's Day weekend. Upon arrival close to midnight we were informed that our booked room was not available ( despite fully prepaid reservation) and that we would have to move to a different room the next day. For a 3 day trip and traveling with little kids this was a major inconvenience. No further info was given. We had to cramp in one bed the first night and did not sleep because of the very loud music from next door.
The second room we got the next afternoon was very nice and the overall property is quite nice and relaxing but the way how this situation was handled was very unprofessional. There was no information given the first night other than that we had to talk to the manager the next day. There was little effort to make this right. The next day we were told" I gave you the other room for the first night because I knew you had little kids and the room closer to the beach would have been even louder that night ( due to the proximity to Margaritaville) , which of course was a lie..... It's a small property but if you run a hotel of this size you can not overbook or if you do at least need to make it right to the customer. ....we will not return.
Looking at many of the other reviews, overbooking seems a to be a recurrent pattern...

We traveled to this beautiful beach resort for our daughter's wedding. Monique did a fantastic job in fullfilling all the wishes of the bride and groom. The setting sun under the palm arches the staff made could not have been more beautiful ! Everything was handled wonderfully from the
decorations, minister, photographer, videographer, to the reception dinner. The relaxing weather and the caring staff made it an occasion to remember both before and after.
I hope other people get to visit much less wed at this beautiful resort.

Just returned from my third visit to Country Country, and wish I could book another right away. This hotel is actually small one and two story cottages with porches, set amid a garden. The property is immaculate and the rooms are more than comfortable. Yes, the "king" beds are 2 twins pushed together, but this is not an uncommon practice in countries other than the US. The rooms are large and have everything you need!

The beach is clean with chairs, towels, and shade if you want it! Security is on duty all day and night. no worries:). The restaurant is waterfront, and serves some tasty dishes. Our favorites were banana pancakes and omelette for breakfast; Caesar wrap, barbeque wrap, and jerk club sandwich for lunch; beef filet, curry snapper, and pork kabobs for dinner.

Our personal contact has been Monique when we have contacted the hotel through email the last two times we have booked online. She will do her best to meet your every need, and the rest of the staff echo her commitment. I was surprised to see negative comments about some staff in previous posts. I did not recognize the names mentioned, so maybe changes have occurred. All staff were friendly and professional on our visit in January, 2013.

In the past 10 years, my wife and I have eaten at Country Country many times. Mind you we have never stayed at the hotel..only eaten in its outdoor beach restaurant. We can only say good things about all of our wonderfully delish and creative meals. From Mahi Mahi, Tuna steaks to red pea soup! This is a restaurant that should not be missed on your trip to Negril! Big Up, Respect everytime!

Very nice, I would go back for the relaxing environment. breakfast a little too oily but the staff made very good effort to appease. Lady at front desk Serita was very pleasant and made every effort to ensure all was well

For $10.00 [US], I got a carafe of coffee, juice, omelet, and 4 types of fresh fruit, served at a beachfront table by a pleasant and efficient waitress.

By far, the best beach breakfast that I have found in Negril.

Portions are a healthy-size [rather than the typical over-indulgent resort size] and the chef and wait-staff all seem genuinely concerned that you are happy with your meal and your overall experience at Country Country.
