This was my second trip to Puerto Rico with my husband, son and his girlfriend. The last time we came, we stayed in a nice large condo with other family members on the other side of the island. This time we came for a destination wedding and wanted a condo near Old San Juan as well as the Caribe Hilton where many of the family and wedding party was staying. Since my son and girlfriend were staying with us, we opted for a condo with 2 bedrooms. I was SO disappointed when I first walked into this condo. I had higher expectations given the picture of the terrace with the umbrella. Beside the condo is an empty parking lot that was trashy when we first arrived. THAT is what one side of the condo terrace overlooks. You can see the ocean if you keep your eyes UP. No umbrella in sight. The cushions were dirty, and there was an old soda bottle on the table with water and a cigarette in it. There is also a terrace on the other side. Same thing - no umbrella, dirty chairs and it overlooks the roof of the next condo or building. Needless to say, we spent NO TIME on the terrace. The condo itself was clean but stark. The couch looked worn. The master bedroom was acceptable, and the bed was comfortable. The other bedroom looked dingy and there was some plaster missing from the wall by the head of the bed. The kitchen was adequate and clean, and there were glasses, coffee cups, utensils and cooking supplies. There is no dishwasher so I felt compelled to wash everything prior to using it. The bathroom was fine EXCEPT it took us awhile to figure out which way to turn the nozzle to get hot water. It is VERY touchy. A couple of times I took a lukewarm shower, because I couldn't get the nozzle fixed to get hot water. The water pressure is low, but you get used to it. Towels and washcloths as well as some large beach towels are provided which was nice. We used the washer and dryer to wash the towels and washcloths (plus some clothes) since there are only 4 washcloths and 4 towels. We rarely stayed in the condo more than just to sleep, because I found it to be depressing. It is right across from a school which was no big deal, except the parking on the street did get crowded during the week. There is a man who may be homeless (we were not certain), and he kept wanting to "save" a parking place for us by using cones or whatever means to do so. My husband would tip him, but after awhile, it just got annoying. The beach is within walking distance and was a very nice beach. Old San Juan is about a 20 minute walk. I would not stay here again, but it was reasonably priced and clean.

We stayed here in December for a week. Some family vacation time. The location was good. Very close to old San Juan. El Hamburger up the street was good. Martin and the owner of the properly were both quite attentive and responsive with anything that came up, including our 8 hour delay in arrival. Wifi signal can get weak at times. Having a washer and dryer was very helpful during our stay. The only suggestion I would have is to get a toaster for the kitchen.
We would definitely stay here again on our next visit.
