This is really very very beautiful place with relaxing and laid back atmosphere with the 360 degrees ocean view and the blue sky. The pool is also very nice if you just want to hug out by the pool side. The sounds of the ocean waves is just beyond soothing and beautiful :))
The rooms are clean and spacious. Couldn't meet the owners but the girl at the reception was friendly.
The location of the hotel is 10-15 min walking distance from the fray terminal so if you have luggage, kids or senior people rental car is strongly suggested. Unfortunately we did not find the taxi service reliable.

Overall great place to stay in Vieques!

This place was so good we ended up extending our stay. Probably one of the best accommodations on the island for lazing around, or if you are wanting to be close to the ocean. Closer to the water than any of the other hotels we saw. Every room has ocean views. The smaller pool is heated. The pool is a few feet from every room and right next to the ocean. Lots of nooks to explore our lease around. Book library. Wonderful wonderful hosts. The beach right off Lanchita has a reef so you will not be able to swim here. There is a small swimming beach two houses down. They also rent cars if you want to drive around.

Stayed here for three nights earlier this month (November 2016). It was like staying in a friend of the family's seaside villa in some forgotten corner of the world. Doug and Marikay are two of the most genuine, down to earth innkeepers you will ever be lucky to meet. Upon arriving I did not want to leave, but Vieques has a lot to offer and we rented a vehicle from the hotel (nothing fancy) that got us to the restaurants and the beaches (Blue, Red, Garcia, etc). It truly is a grand property: beautiful views, balustrades, staircases, balconies, pool, etc). I slept beautifully every night with the sound of the ocean right outside my windows. I can't wait to return and would highly recommend it. It's not the Ritz and doesn't pretend to be. If you are looking for turn down service and rose petals in the bathtub, stay elsewhere.
