Just had a wonderful 3 nights at Bravo Beach in late January 2016 for our first trip to Vieques. For a simple, smaller property, Bravo Beach surprised us with all of its amenities, including free beach chairs, colors and kids' pool toys to use anytime, a nice "honor bar" near the garden pool, and a simple yet delicious breakfast. Staff were incredibly friendly and full of so much information about the island we could hardly take it all in. Both pools are really nice, but we didn't even have time to use either of them because we were at the beach every day.

We stayed in an upper balcony room and loved it. Only (minor) complaint is that we couldn't leave our balcony door open because there are no screens. I know this is common in the Caribbean, but living so far from the ocean in my real life, I love leaving doors/windows open to listen to the waves when I'm on vacation. But that was really the only negative we could find with this hotel! The room was just right - beautifully but minimally furnished with only those things you'll need (mini fridge, bedside reading lamps, hairdryer, safe). We liked that in the upper balcony room we had total privacy. Lower balcony rooms do have balconies that open directly onto the pool and near the breakfast area.

I also want to point out that Isabel II is very walkable from Bravo Beach, which we loved even though we had a jeep. Parking in town can be a bit difficult during busy times, and as long as you can handle one short block uphill with no sidewalks, the walk can be shorter than the drive!

I would absolutely stay here again, and wish we had stayed longer than 3 nights. We were told that after a few days on Vieques we might get bored, but I cannot even imagine why anyone would say that!

Bravo beach hotel was a great place to stay when traveling on a budget. The rooms are really nice and facilities are perfect for the beach vibe. We arrived before check in time and the reception was more than happy to hold our bags for the day. Beach chairs and coolers are available. I wish I would of known that and I wouldn't of brought my own. They also provided beach towels.
I would definitely stay at the bravo beach hotel on my next visit to this gorgeous island.

We stayed here for 3 nights. A terrific little place that is clean, affordable, and the staff is very, very helpful and friendly. Situated on a hillside, the hotel is in a terrific location that allows you to walk into the town. Also minutes from the ferry if you choose the boat as the way in and out of Vieques. We stayed on the 2nd floor, ocean view in what appeared to be a newly renovated room. Very private. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Second floor, ocean view.

I absolutely loved this hotel. The view of the ocean was great. The service was excellent. The employees were very attentive to our every need and extremely cordial at all times. The rooms were clean and spacious. Breakfast had various options and was delicious. The overall feel was quite and calm. It's also close to the dock and various restaurants. The down side is, it's not that close to the best beaches in Vieques. Plus it doesn't have its own restaurant so you have to go into town to grab a bite for dinner and lunch. I went with my boyfriend last year and it was a great experience.

Vieques is a fabulous place for travelers that value incredible beauty, unique sights (the bioluminescent bay), solitude, and don't care about nightlife. Bravo Beach isn't in the most ideal location (the north shore instead of the south-because the coast there is rocky and the surf very rough for swimming), but the island is so small and a rental Jeep is pretty much a necessity wherever you stay, that it is an absolutely fine place to be based. Being able to walk into town in 5-10 minutes to many nice restaurants (Taverna, Coqui Fire, Conuco), a quiet place to sleep (versus perhaps staying right in Esperanza) as long as you don't mind roosters crowing frequently, and a great view of the ocean/surf/palm trees from the majority of the rooms are all major pluses. The rooms, particularly those on the 2nd floor or the garden suite on the first floor, are well-designed in a minimalist sort of way, with nice showers, balconies, and comfortable beds. Honor bar is convenient, and the hotel pools are nice for quick dips to cool off (but not big enough for laps). The staff was friendly, but weren't super useful in terms of suggestions for restaurants or outfitters (but reception person appeared to be new). Would stay here again if some of the properties we coveted on the south shore (Blue Horizon, Tamarindo) were full up.

We stayed at 3 hotels on the island, and this one is just not worth it for the money. You can stay at El Blok or another beautiful hotel for around the same amount. Just look for specials. The coffee in the morning was really good, and they have soy milk, but breakfast is nothing special.

We stayed at Bravo Beach Hotel for a friend's 60th birthday bash nearby St Maria neghborhood. The hotel is cute, clean, quiet and we had a beachfront room with a beautiful view of the ocean. The rooms are rather spartan but has all the basics, cable TV, good shower, beach towels and regular bath towels. The hotel has two pools to be sued at different hours and for the night owls there's an honor bar.The neighborhood of Isabel II can be a bit ugly, but it's an easy walk either right into town but you can walk towards the Bravos neighborhood which mostly is ocean front and has beautiful views and houses. Mind the 'realengo' dogs, so a bring a stick just in a case, and lot of roaming horses throughout, so watch what you step on. All in all it was a nice quite stay at Vieques. We'll be back!

Room Tip: Beachfront rooms with a view
