These charmingly cozy rooms are great for a stay on Vieques. They have everything you need, and nothing you don't. You're right at the waters edge, and the rooms have anything you might think to use at the beach. The view from the balcony is amazing, don't forget to enjoy the beautiful sunset. And to top it all off, it's right above one of the best restaurants on Vieques, Duffy's. I really can't say enough good things about this place.

I did hours and hours of research for a hotel with a beach side balcony view of the beach and ocean that had great reviews. I finally came upon the Flamboyan after looking at countless places. There were so many with several negative reviews. The Flamboyan had hardly any. The reviews said Matt and Alyssa were the most wonderful hosts. Will.....They are! Alyssa answered about 20 emails during the four months we waited for our trip and she did promptly and with enthusiasm. She answered every question. When we got there we met Matt. He was very helpful with information of options of where to go and what vendor to use for an excursion. The hospitality was very welcoming. The room was the best in Esperanza! Waking up to the sound of the waves and the view of the ocean were breathtaking!
Great location for food, entertainment and some of the best beaches in the world. Their restuarant downstairs (Duffys) was delicious as well. There were always several customers there every time we stopped by our room.
There is no lack of things to do there.
This was the best vacation we have had ever been on!

Room tip: Room 1 had the biggest balcony with ocean view.

Flamboyan had a ton of beach gear in the room - chairs, towels, snorkeling gear, a hammock, an umbrella, etc. It was perfect and made our stay much more enjoyable. The rooms are comfortable and the staff was chill.

I've been to Vieques a number of times usually opting for private home Airbnb's. With Duffy's bar being a favorite on island this time we decided to stay at the flamboyan (upstairs from Duffy's).

The room boasted a beautiful view of the bay and a sizeable terrace to enjoy it on. The bed was small but firm, the air-conditioning cold (although we didn't need it) and the towels soft fluffy and brand new. The extras provided by our host in the shape of beach towels, parasol, chairs and snorkel gear show a nice attention to detail. The room had en suite facilities including shampoo, conditioner, shower gel etc. but hot water was a little short for the two of us.

The location is great and parking out back a pleasant surprise. I expected a bit of noise since we were staying above one of the busiest bars in Esperanza, at night it wasn't so bad as things close down fairly early and we were out until then anyway, but life in Esperanza starts early in the morning and folks going about their business combined with repairs outside on the malecon meant we didn't really get to sleep in.

I love Vieques, the Flamboyan is the typical small island tropical guesthouse (complete with flamingo themed shower curtain!) and provides lots of extras to enjoy the island without having to bring too much yourself.

I traveled with my wife and Mother-In-Law to Vieques. My wife booked a room at Flamboyan Guest House.
It is located in the town of Esperanza, South area of the island.
Our room was facing the ocean (Room #1... they have four rooms total).
The room had 1-twin bed and 1-fullsize bed. Full bathroom with plenty of towels, shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel, and a blow dryer.
(The room does not have an iron, however, it is available upon request).

All of the rooms are on the 2nd floor, above Duffy's Restaurant. Parking is in the rear but you can also access the 2nd floor through Duffy's restaurant when they're opened. All rooms share a a common area that was well-equipped with a mini-refrigerator, coffee maker, Keurig machine (with coffee pods), plates, cups, silverware, first-aid items, books, board games, and items to use in the water such as float sticks, scuba gear items, as well as chairs. (Our room also had items for the water).

Sunday night was a little loud, not only with the Duffy's crowd (which is to be expected), but load music from passing cars, as the locals love to share their playlists with the entire island!

Our contact at Flamboyan, Alyssa, was wonderful! Very responsive to any questions, as well as providing information on where to eat and go. She provides a binder with all the information you need regarding the property and the area. She made our welcome and our stay fantastic!
We were looking for a place nearby for breakfast and she recommended El Gran Trimbiriche, a tiny food kiosk just steps away from our room! Great breakfast for a great price! (Try The Sharkey sandwich!!)

Already making plans to go back!!
