second visit in the past three years. A whole pig is on the rotisserie in back of the restaurant. On the first visit on a Sunday, the pig is only available at dinner but was able to sample last week when we visited the restaurant again. Truly enjoyed it the last time and this time, the pig was available. it was moist and very tasty, the skin had a nice brown sheen and was not stiff like most roasted pig have experienced before. the staff is very friendly and welcoming with a few even speaking English. My spouses food was very good as well. home made French pastries are hidden in the back of the restaurant. go, you will like.

The bistro is just across the narrow street from our hotel, so we paid several visits during our stay. The staff were very friendly, and it had a typical French bistro feel. Food, on the other hand, is rather mediocre. My first dinner there, the main dish was Marlin fish steak, which was completely rubbery, without much taste. The second visit, the main dish was duck rôti, slightly better than marlin, but mediocre by any French standard.

This restaurant, however, is open most of the time, but if you want to eat there during high season, especially Christmas Eve and New Year eve, you must book it long in advance. Otherwise you won't get a seat.

La Pointe du Bout is a kind of mainland France enclave in Martinique, for better or worse. Le Bistrot d'en face is rather on the plus side. It’s the first restaurant I have visited in this tourist village. Servers were friendly and efficient. Setting is cozy, a mix of local and French atmosphere. Same as bistro food which offers combo dishes with Creole and French recipes.
For lunch on the little terrace I chose the Caribbean side : marlin rillettes, mi-cuit tuna with chayote gratin. I made an exception : no sausage, no andouillette but a glass of Madiran. I had coffee at the bar to watch football with some regulars.
It was a quiet Sunday afternoon.

This was our first night in Village Creole. We were weary travelers so appreciated guidance on the menu and suitable food selections. Helpful staff and low key outdoor dining. Food was excellent.

Had a really great dinner here, I would highly recommend the Toulouse sausages and the tuna steak. They also had a really nice wine list by the bottle and by the glass. The service was really friendly.
