You can climb to Fort Rodney or go even higher to Signal Mountain. Even if you only make it to the fort, you will still enjoy a beautiful view and the hike is only steep at the very end. Well worth the trip!

I have been to st lucia many many times but never climbed up to the look out ! This time i did - only the smaller one though ! The guide came with us from the boat we hired and it was a pretty easy walk for a while - it then does get very steep - although it is a path and there is a hand rail to help - the last bit has like a step ladder - but was okay.
The views are spectacular ! well worth it !
there are a couple of small sandy beach areas and the swim was very much needed after the climb ! Lovely and refreshing ! We then had lunch at one of the two restaurants on the 'island'. But if you want a local snack walk back out of the park to the local kiosks just on the main beach - local rum also available there !

Fantastic views either side of the 'island', a lot of cruise ship folk spend some time here so best to come in the early evening we found.

There are some local boys selling an extremely potent herb- infused rum who approached us when on the beach, be VERY CAREFUL!!!!
Not joking either!!

Spent half a day at this beach coming from southern part of the island. It has a lovely restaurant and the views are beautiful from the fort. There are several small beaches in the park and they are excellent for swimming and picnicking. Parking is easy and there is a small fee for entrance which gets you some privacy and a quieter beach experience. You pay for a chair and a towel on top of that if you like. The park is quite clean. Nice little beach restaurant. If you are in the area of Rodney Bay it is a very nice spot - snorkeling wasn't any good but its a great swimming spot. There was a wedding that afternoon so we weren't able to stay after 3:30.
