The market is situated next to Duty Free shops that cruise passengers have to pass through. It has two parts: fruit & spices and souvenirs & clothes. As noted in previous reviews, all of the crafts are not local (I saw leather masks from Dominican Republic), prices are steep, vendors -not flexible. Though the part where spices are sold is interesting; one can see, touch and smell the real thing.
Best way to get there from Rodney Bay is by local bus. It's very safe and fun and cost only 2.25EC$ per person one way. It takes you into the city, where you can walk around and see the few things there are to see.
The Roman Catholic Church has beautiful stained glass windows.
As a note: if you plan to buy alcohol to take home, it's best to do so in Castries (Duty Free), as at the airport the selection is quite small and some of the same items more expensive.
