The hotel has a great staff (mainly Sasha, Michelin and Raiza). The rooms are all newly renovated. The BEACH is PERFECT. I just wish the locals would not bothered you while you are lying on the beach. The hotel provides lounge chairs, umbrellas and beach towels (free of charge). The kitchen is well stocked (dishes, pot and pans, fridge, etc). Our unit had two baths, king bed, two TV's, sofa and dining table, washer and dryer and a balcony. The location is close to lots and lots of eating places and you can walk to the main shopping. It does become pretty quiet at dark. There is a local bus, two blocks from the hotel (2.00 one way) and it runs pretty quickly. We never had to wait more than 10 minutes. If you are afraid of dogs...beware, they roam the island and property pretty freely, they don't bother you, just unsettling. The locals don't seem to poop and scoop with their own dogs.

Room Tip: 5 floor and above. This gives you the best view regardless of side of the bldg. you are in.

The staff are great: Sasha, Michelin and Bridelica! The construction has been completed, rooms are completely updated with windows, sliders, tile bathrooms, kitchen (cabinets and SS appliances), and furniture. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance, we recommend The Greenhouse ask for Shanieska, and Chesterfield's.

Our unit was nicely renovated yet could still use some work. Our air conditioner made loud snapping noises and woke us up several time each night. The location is very good for beach and shopping but Philipsburg is pretty quiet once the cruise ships leave town so I would not stay at this location again.

Absolutely Awesome View from my Balcony! My room is totally renovated with new everything. Nice sofa sleepers, great bedroom with a king size bed, two full bathrooms, privacy door, and a million dollar view of that Aquamarine Caribbean Ocean at Great Bay, plus all those massive cruise ships porting across the bay. So peaceful and like Heaven.

Room Tip: Free WiFi for timeshare owners only.

My wife and I stayed at the Sea Palace for one week during the middle of April. We had a fantastic stay. We were greeted by Michelin and the manager, Ms. Petrinia Elliott. Both were professional and warm to us, especially Ms. Elliott. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment facing the sea. What a magnificent view of the boardwalk, coastline, and cruise ships. Our apartment was refurbished with new furniture and modern appliances. We felt at home and intend to stay here again.

We just arrived home after a two week visit in SXM. We stayed at Sea Palace and we thoroughly enjoyed the suite, brand new furniture with an absolute breathtaking view of Great Bay. Crystal clear blue ocean steps from the Sea Palace. The Sea Palace was spotless clean and had everything we needed to make our vacation just wonderful. I particularly liked to see the cruise ships coming and going while enjoying an early morning coffee on the balcony.
We loved the Honky Tonk which is steps from the beach. Great food no matter what we ordered. Service was also excellent. Shops, restaurants, liquor store and grocery store all within walking distance.
We did one excursion which was a catamaran to Anguilla. This is a must do. An incredible day of sailing on the Sugar Rush to Rendevous Bay in Anguilla where we were treated to a wonderful buffet lunch and an afternoon of swimming followed by more sailing, good music and cheese and crackers. A full day of paradise! This was our 2nd trip to this beautiful island and won't be our last.

The staff at this hotel are very helpful. They assisted us with places to go and see and how to get around in the local bus. We had emailed the hotel previous to our stay to ask for the highest room overlooking the sea... we got a room on the first floor overlooking the road. Anyway, if you like to be woken up every morning between 0700 and 0730 with the beep beep of horns from cars and the shouting of the local shop keepers then thats fine. Luckily we are early risers! The room was very adequately furnished. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was lovely and spacious with clean towels every day. The kitchen was perfect with microwave, kettle and a huge fridge freezer. The hotel didn't look very full when we were there but I believe many rooms are timeshares. One huge downside to this hotel is that they charge for wifi in the rooms and anywhere infact. Not even to have free wifi in the reception area is terrible in this day and age.

We had read about the various bars and restaurants around this hotel and they all read great but what we didn't appreciate was that these places are only open from 10am till about 5pm when all the cruise ship guests had left! After this time the place is like a ghost town. There are a handful of places that stay open but none have a 'buzzing' atmosphere so very disappointed. Most nights we got on a local bus 2 blocks back from the hotel and went to Simpson Bay for $1.50 each one way. Perfect, watched the yachts in the marina, happy hour, lots going on and the place had an atmosphere. I would choose to stay in Simpson Bay area if I ever went back.
