I stayed here for only one night in a group of 3, the night before flying out. It was memorable and great. The best part is the location- astonishing beach views 270 degrees around. You can hardly tell where the pool ends and the ocean begins. You will sit at the pool bar and gaze slack-jawed while the bartender encourages you to pour your own rum to suit your taste. A one minute walk brings you to the Sunset Bar and Grill where we had happy hour then breakfast the next morning. One of the most amazing bars I’ve ever been to (not a small thing)- a breezy outdoor establishment where planes buzz your head immediately prior to landing. The casino and several other establishments are within easy walking distance. The room was chic, clean, and had a large balcony with great ocean views that we did not pay extra for. You see, this hotel’s main attraction is the proximity to the airport runway which shows guests extreme close-ups of planes taking off and landing. There were 2 mosquitoes and a beetle in the room, which were easy to control. Staff here were very friendly and helpful from the moment they handed us flutes of pink champagne, until checkout. The event that I would like to pass on is that I left my Apple Watch poolside after a night of drinking and dashing in to avoid rain. The pool attendant, a local man in his 50’s turned it in to the front desk where it waited for me to retrieve when I noticed it missing. He refused any tip for its return, and was surprised I would expect anything less.More
