My wife and I stayed at Le Petit for 7 nights. It is only 10 rooms. It is close to the street and just on the outskirts of restaurant row in Grand Case

We were on a second floor room for 4 nights and moved to the deluxe studio for 3. The Deluxe studio is about 4 feet wider than the second floor room. The deluxe studio has direct beach access and the patio is bigger.

Being so close to the road I was worried about noise. Don’t be. The only thing we heard was the sound of the waves
.
The rooms were extremely clean and well maintained.

Jean- Francoise is the manager. He is very friendly and extremely helpful.

The beach at the hotel is narrow but very nice. I also recommend taking the beach at night to get to the restaurants. It’s about 150 yards, then pop out by the Rainbow Café or at Love.
We really liked Piazza Pascal, la Villa, le Ti Provençale and Spicey. Most offered 1 for 1 dollar for Euro if you paid cash. Dinners for 2 ran $100-$150. Check out the Lolo’s, 2 for lunch with drinks for under $25.

We would definitely stay here again. Make sure you visit the sister hotel, La Esplanade. It’s on the hill at the opposite side of Grand Case. It’s bigger and very beautiful with a great pool and views of the island.

Penil Island is worth the trip but if you have the lobster and rent chairs plan to spend $200 for the day. The water taxi didn’t start running until 10 am and I felt like I was on a refugee boat. But it’s only a 7 minute ride. Friars Bay is a nice small beach. Orient Bay is worth visiting once. It’s quite the show.

If you’re a diver use Octopus Diving. They run a great operation with excellent boats and have friendly and extremely knowledgeable divematsers and instructors.

Oh I wish this hotel could be at every place we visit !
It is delightful. Beautifully appointed, large room. Very clean. Ample Continental breakfast every morning. (Great, fresh orange juice!)
Staff very friendly & efficient.
The location, on the beach, is idealic.
Just loved it there & will be back the next time we visit St. Martin.
Julie

Room Tip: First floor studio & suite have walk-out to beach.

This hotel is excellent with wonderful furnishings, beautiful views, and the gentle sound of the waves rock you to sleep. Jean Francois always greeted us with a smile and went out of his way suggesting restaurants, giving us directions, and even set up a catamaran day trip for us. We enjoyed the continental breakfast with fresh orange juice, fruit, and delicious french pastries. Probably best to rent a car to get around to see the sights. Overall a great experience, we will return!

Room Tip: The first floor rooms are a couple steps down to the sand. We stayed in a third floor room, loved the view!

Warm welcome from jean francois, quality furnishings and great linens, fantastic maid service, wow balcony views! Great continental breakfast, beach nice but shaded for much of the afternoon, Grand Case is built too tall (only 3 floors) too close to the beach, so the beach gest shaded early but you only have to walk down 100 metres to for late PM sunning. Great advice on beaches and restaurants and therest of the island too.

Get used to walking on the beach and popping into Grand Case near the Rainbow. The road walking route is quite dangerous due to narrow paths (if any) and wheely bins often parked on the sidewalk.

Room Tip: top floor has fabtastic views, ground floor is walk onto beach direct access

This is an excellent hotel. We have now stayed here and at their sister hotel L'Esplanade. We agree with all the accolades on the other reviews. However, one note...do not underestimate the length of the walk into town. It is pretty lengthy and also not a pleasant area and rather small sidewalks if at all. The walk along the beach is rather arduous as well since the sand was very soft. We ended up driving into town and parking on other occasions. It would be great if they offered some sort of shuttle service. The walk from L'Esplanade is a bit shorter and much more serene.
