The bed is amazing, the shower is powerful with an endless supply of hot water, the amenities are perfect, the bathroom is very functional with mirrors in the right places and lighting fitting to your needs, the A/C works very well. The rooms are spotless and quiet - very quiet so the atmosphere is pure romance and with a pool that is heated for a perfect cool afternoon swim what could ever be better.
This is certainly not a chain hotel and they keep far away from all that the chains might offer and this is not a tiny little place that will sicken you with quaint little non essentials but rather it a place designed for peace of mind and to help re establish sanity. This hotel brings you back to life by getting the right things right and throwing away all of the rest.
They get it - they really get it.

Just got back from a 7 day stay at Hotel L'Esplanade. I was there last year for the Heineken regatta and booked another stay there this year. Had such a great experience last year, I didn't even bother looking for a different hotel!

It was nice to see a lot of returning guests there this year. Some of which I recognized from the year before. The hotel hosts a happy hour on Friday and Saturday nights at the pool with a free open bar and finger foods from local shops... great place to meet some fellow guests and make some connections! They also feature live musicians during the happy hour which is nice treat.

I just love the accommodations at this hotel.. the rooms have a classic charm but with all of the modern amenities you would want. Modern kitchenette, bathrooms, iPod/iPhone docks, free Wifi, etc. They also offer breakfast delivered to your room (get the ham and cheese quiche!)

They also feature free yoga for their guests. I decided to be brave and I give it a try. I've only done yoga once before but the instructor Pierre was top notch! He speaks both French and English and excellent with attendees at all levels. Ended up being a very relaxing experience. Highly recommend you try out the yoga!

Can't wait to book my next trip there.. Hope to see you there!

My husband and I spent a few days at Le Petit, their sister property, the year prior before going over to Anguilla. We loved both, but for different reasons. Must say the pool w/ swim up bar and spa probably helped edge out this location in our book. We like to beach hop while on the island, so it was less important to us to be beach front in Grand Case. The staff could not be more pleasant and Alan at the bar was one killer bar tender! Enjoyed the end of our days relaxing in the pool and watching the sun set. We'll be back... just never soon enough!

As returning guests, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This was our first visit during "season” and it did not disappoint. We really loved the heated pool and the pool bar with swim up stools and the attention of the bartenders including Alain and Ramone. We were able to attend the Saturday night cocktail party at the pool twice! We loved the appetizers, getting to know the other guests and the top level service supervised by the owners, Kristin and Marc.

As always, we made use of the kitchen in the room and often times had fresh pastries and a baguette delivered in the morning. Breakfast was always lovely watching the planes land at the nearby airport and the Heineken regatta sailing by Grand Case.

Dining is wonderful in Grand Case with many choices to satisfy anyone’s palette. You do not need the drive to dinner because the Hotel has Johnny who drives a golf cart lit with green LED lights and who will take you to any restaurant in Grand Case and then return you to the hotel. He is so well-known that you simply need to tell your server “please ask Johnny to come get us” when dinner is complete.

The truly is no better place to stay in St. Martin than Hotel L’Esplanade and we already planning our next trip.

Perfection in Grand Case. EVERYTHING was fantastic, our suite was clean, comfortable, well furnished. The view from the two terraces was amazing, and the bathroom and shower were incredible. Simple luxury. The service is almost indescribable, there was nothing we asked for that was not taken care of: extra towels, dinner reservations, transportation, car rental, directions, and even a repair of a flat tire on the road. They went above and beyond "above and beyond". And always warm and friendly. Having a kitchen in the suite enabled us to make our own breakfasts, which was ideal--it enabled us to save calories for lunch and dinner. The heated pool is both visually pleasing and a comfortable place to lounge in or around, and is the gathering place for the guests. Alain, the chef/bartender/"poolside personality" provided the most unusual drinks and, with his mom, the best lunches around. He is the "star" of the hotel. There was nothing he could not make and nothing he could not make happen: from a dynamite Pina Colada to the best hamburger to reservations at local restaurants. Gathering around the pool is the social event of the day, and the place to meet and mingle with a very sociable crowd of guests (most returing on the same weeks year after year.) The spa was a welcome amenity, with an exceptional "menu" of services provided by a very skilled therapist, Tricia. To make this more of a paradise, the hotel is just up the hill from "Restaurant Row" in Grand Case. It is a short walk or a short golf cart ride into town to the best restaurants in the Caribbean. The owners, Kristin and Marc certainly know how to provide guest services at a beautiful resort. It is no wonder that guests return year after year, and it is no wonder that we are joining their ranks, having made reservations for 3 weeks next February.

Room Tip: All rooms are spectacular, it depends on the size of the room you want.
