Great trip to St Martin!

The staff was great, the rooms were large with great views! The area around Grand Case is great. We rented a car from the hotel (very convenient and easy) and took a few day trips. The distance to town for dinner was amazing and really gave the trip a local feel. I can't wait to go back!

“Experience” is the right word – this is not your average hotel stay.

Our one bedroom suite was well-appointed (including a welcome basket and pretty Bougainvillea petals throughout). It felt like home (only better) and we loved sitting on the large balcony, reading, eating, having a glass of wine, or just looking at the sweeping views and legendary sunsets.

A beautiful little path with overhanging trees leads to Grand Case Boulevard (restaurant row) and makes it easy to take an evening stroll for dinner. If strolling isn’t your thing, you can take a fun ride into town on the shuttle (a tricked out golf cart) the hotel provides. Just ask for Johnny or look for the green lights!

A secluded, heated pool and laidback pool bar is the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring Saint Martin or to strike up a conversation with the other guests. Everyone is so friendly – including Alaine, the bartender. In fact, we discovered people have made lifelong friends with other guests at the pool bar and come back every year at the same time to see each other. There are also plenty of little alcoves in the pool area and grounds for introverted moments.

An extraordinary feature of the hotel is the outdoor yoga studio, Ti Temple. It has a positive, inclusive vibe and guests can take yoga classes for free. Pierre was especially enlightening for me. He helped me take my practice to a new level.

There are little beaches within walking distance. Larger beaches, such as Anse Marcel and Orient Beach, are just a short drive away. We also took a day trip to Pinel Island – great snorkeling and just a quick ferry ride away. Our 11-year-old daughter loved making her own perfume at Tijon, a perfumery that’s a short walk from the hotel. She was also a fan of zip lining with the monkeys in the trees at Loterie Farms, about 20 minutes away (bring sneakers).

Thank you, Kristin, Marc and family for creating such a welcoming experience. We hope to be back again.

Had a fantastic few days in St. Martin as a couple (no kids), starting with an outstanding arrival and check-in. For a very small property, staff are highly attentive and eager to make your stay exceptional. Beautiful pool, great pool-bar (thanks go to the new bartender and server Ramona-she's fun, interesting and good with the mixing) and fantastic rooms. We stayed in a lofted room, which had good living space, well stocked kitchen and 1 1/2 bathrooms. The property is perfectly located on the hill overlooking the bay, and our private balcony gave great views of all of Grand Case. There's modest menu offerings at the pool, but no restaurant on premises. For those new to the property, stop on your way in to pick up some basic groceries - you'll be thankful for them at breakfast and snack time. The morning breakfast coffee & pastry service was very good, but we did get some eggs and had some fantastic meats/cheeses for additional proteins and snacking.

Restaurants on the main street are amazing as are the beaches - most of the places have outstanding food, even when they aren't the prettiest. Expect excellent food choices too - - -so many good things to eat. And let the folks at L'Esplanade help with reservations - it makes a difference and helps them with community relationships.

Everyone says to be prepared to walk and get some exercise. The hotel is on a hill and if you go down, you have to go up. Shuttle is available, but we enjoyed the after dinner walk - an easy, albeit dark walk gets you to/from the restaurants in the evening.

I could easily write more, but the outstanding scores given by others are representative of our experience too. Enjoy!!

My wife and I just spent a week at this wonderful hotel taking advantage of the summer package plan. This is our third time here and it has been a great experience each visit.
A bottle of champagne and a sweets basket greeted us, along with with a small stock of soft drinks, beer and water in the refrigerator. We were upgraded a to one bedroom suite which was more spacious than we needed, but made the our stay even more special. Complimentary wine is provided each evening at 6 in the lobby and the views from the hillside rooms are always spectacular. Our package included a rental car and transportation to and from the airport. Parking at night in Grand Case is a challenge but shuttle service to dinner is available with Johnny who is always a delight.
A lovely pool is available for hotel guests and we never found it very busy. A new addition since our last visit was pool side bar service during the summer season. Ramona, the bartender from Romania, provided fast, friendly service for drinks and snacks. L'Esplanade is a great place for couples seeking a relaxing, private time together. There is not a great deal of socializing with other guests, in fact, one rarely sees them. Grand Case provides many great choices for dining, including World Class French Cuisine, Casual Seaside Bar/Restaurants and the even more casual Lolos, local Caribbean restaurants where delicious fish, ribs and chicken and wide variety of comfort food side dishes are prepared on open air grills. Hotel staff was responsive to all of our requests.

Room Tip: Stairs can be a challenge for some guests

This hotel was amazing! A great location with great staff who helped us with everything from finding a good place to eat to picking what boat tour we should do. Each morning we had a great breakfast delivered. Our room was cleaned incredibly each day. Highly highly highly recommend.

Room Tip: Rooms overlook the beach
