Owner description: This magnificent Virgin Gorda beach, which is adjacent to The Baths, is a great place for snorkeling.

This is a much calmer and quieter version of the Baths. It is simply beautiful and is free to the public. It can be accessed easily by rental car or cab. Don't miss it.

It has relatively easy access from water but there are some large rocks in the bay that you should watch out for if you are coming in by dinghy. But, once there it has a great view of the Sir Francis Drake Passage and the sunset. See my other post about The Baths and make sure that you do NOT use this as a drop-off point to get access to The Baths "without getting wet". It is NOT worth it to do this.

We have visited this island many times and the Bath's cab
N be accessed from this area but it's better to go here. The crowds at the Baths continue to grow while this spot seems to always be less traveled, easy to access, yet you can snorkel over to the Baths from here then walk or snorkel back. There are picnic tables, grills and areas to hang a hammock as well. I'm not sure why, but we usually have the place to ourselves. Great snorkeling, swimming and just hanging out!

Spring Bay Beach is a national park next to the famed Baths, and it is free to the public. A $10 U.S. open air taxi ($20 roundtrip) drove two of us from Spanish Town to the beach. The big boulders are every bit as large as those in The Baths. There are picnic tables to eat and palms trees for shade. The waves are rough at times and make snorkeling challenging for weak swimmers. Overall, the beach was pristine with clear blue waves and hot white sand. Sunbathing on the beach was a relaxing escape.

Absolutely gorgeous turquoise water. Loved snorkeling around the rocks at the beach which was a short walk to the right of the picnic area.
