the pub is located about a 10 minute walk from the steam train to Bala. We visited after a long walk and in need of a drink. As there's covid restrictions we were on a table in the car park. It was perfect as it was a nice day and there's views across the fields. Unsure what it would be like if it is raining and windy though.

But, we have to support them so lets make it work!

Really friendly and welcoming staff and beautiful food. Two local ales on draught and locally-reared lamb. Much better food than the pubs in Bala, in my humble opinion (I always have lamb burger in Wales 😉). The covid measures in place were effective without detracting from the homeliness of the Welsh pub. The pub is supporting the village in running a pop-up shop, so it’s a great local business to support with a visit in these tough times.

I came during September 2020 for a family meal. We came and sat at our table and was instantly greeted by the Barman who took our drinks order straight away. We ordered our food and it came out piping hot and quick. The hake was delicious, and the best end of lamb from the family farm was the best lamb I’ve ever tasted. The puddings was mouthwatering the homemade bread and butter was the best my mother had tasted dad had the crumble with the home grown fruits and I had the chocolate brownie which was to die for. We really recommend this hidden pub to anyone, will definitely be coming back!! Thankyou

We had a pleasant evening and staff were friendly. Covid measures were in place. Food was acceptable but desserts lacked imagination and definitely weren't homemade

We turned up at 3 today and they'd stopped serving food, but the chap serving us (didn't catch his name), was so friendly and chatty, he offered us a sandwich.
Best ham and cheese butty I've had.
We'll definitely return and have a full meal.
Lovely surroundings as well!
